"*imitates bad voice acting* ...Vampire Hunters..."

Vampire Night was a hard choice for me. You see, I had Time Crisis and it provided many hours of enjoyment. So, the question arose, ''Should I get Vampire Night or Time Crisis 2?''

So, I read what some people were saying on the GameFAQs message boards and they all said the same thing, ''They're both good, but different styles''. So, I decided to try out Vampire Night, what's the worse that could happen?

Well, fifteen minutes later I'd bought Vampire Night and bought a Namco GunCon so my buddy could play too, and we hooked it all up and started playing...and it was good.

It was so good, me and Tim Maddox (yes, he is a real person) beat it twice that night. And it was good.

And then I said, ''let there be a special mode'', and there was, and it was good. REAL good.

Story - 5
Well, it's a shooter, so story doesn't count really, but it's about vampires hunters (Light and Shadow) going into this castle to kill the head vampire dude. The story is....well...not exactly TOLD. You just go around shooting your way into the castle.

Graphics - 8
The graphics are fairly good, but bland. They fit in nicely with the game though. The bland graphics give it a nice feel. And some of the small effects in the game really help make it complete. The monster graphics and such are well done also.

Sound - 7
The voice acting isn't exactly the greatest, but it's so funny how it actually fits in with the game. The music is a techno-ish style, but you won't even be listening cause you'll be too busy trying to kill all them vampires.

Gameplay - 9
This is where Vampire Night really kicks hindquarters. The enemies are always coming at you, from every direction. While blasting away at them, more will come up RIGHT AFTER. You'll constantly be reloading, and that is what makes this game so fun! Throw in a special mode with missions and extra weapons, and you have a kick hindquarters game.

You're not always just shooting everything either, on some stages the villagers have this red thing attached on to them (like a parasite) and you have to shoot it off. If you shoot the person anywhere else, they'll turn into a vampire.

What's the deal?
If you have the cash, get it. If you like killing vampires, get it. If you like fast-paced shooters, get it.

The special mode ads a lot of replay value, though some might get sick of it. I liked this game a lot and hopefully another shooter like it will come out soon.
