Twisted Metal: Black

"Another great TM game now on PS2"

Introduction:For my 8th review I will be reviewing the wonderful TM:Black.The Twisted Metal game is now on PS2 and its awesome.

Gameplay:The game has excellent gameplay.It is extremely fun just like the other TM games.How easy or hard it is really depends on the difficulty you set the game at.For first timers it may be hard but for people who have played before it is really easy.The controls is simple pretty much.There are a few different setups for you to choose from including the classic which is from the other games.I give the gameplay a 10.

Graphics:For a TM game on the PS2 the graphics look really good.The cars look greatly made.The weapons look pretty good and the explosions actually look like explosions.The arenas themselves look greatly made and there are loads of arenas.I give the graphics a 10.

Features:First off theres the tournament mode (now called story still its the same thing).Here you select a car and battle in each arena in a set order.Sometimes you get to choose the stage.The stages usually have 7 or 8 computer enemies each.Next there is an endurance type mode which is 1 on 1.You pick a car and you battle against computer vehicles 1 at a time until you defeat them all then you battle them all over again.The objective is to kill as many enemies as possible.If you kill a certain amount of people in this mode you can unlock hidden gameplay modes.Then there is a mode where you select your vehicle,arena,and computer enemies and battle as long as you want.The multi-player modes are pretty much the same.In Multiplayer you have Story,and a versus mode.There are more modes depending on how many people are playing.I give the endless amount of features a 10.

Story:Its like all the other Twisted Metal Games the objective is to select a vehicle and play in the arenas destroying all the other computer cars or your opponents.I give the story a 9.

Sound and Music:Lots of wonderful music and tons of sounds to listen to.Each stage has a little musical tune which isn't too bad.There are tons of sounds to hear.From the sounds of the cars speeding by to tons of weapons and missiles exploding on your opponents.Whichever it may be TM:Black has loads of sounds.I give this department a 10.

Replay:You have lots of reasons to keep on playing.First you will want to find all of the hidden vehicles and levels.You will always need to know where all of the weapon pickups are so you'll be at an advantage.More importantly so you can beat up your friends at this game.I give the replay rate a 10.

Buy or Rent?:If you are a fan of the TM games then by all means buy it.There are lots of vehicles and loads of arenas (more arenas then any other TM game).You will have lots of fun playing this.I say buy it.If you don't really like the TM games then at least rent the game.
