Burnout

"This could have been much better"

For the first time in my life I actually admitted I bought a bad game. And for the first time I was going to trade in a game to the store. This game was Burnout. After hearing about these spectacular crashes I needed to buy this game. I was expecting going 130mph head-on with another car and both cars getting torn in half spinning down the road while tires and pieces fly everywhere. As I found out in the first 5 minutes it was much different.

I went down the road with an evil grin on my face, looking for a victim. I hit one car head-on and my car just stopped and the other car just stopped. The damage to the front of the car just looked like I just hit a tree going 5mph. I said to myself, ''It must get better than this,'' but it didn't...much. Every crash all your windows automatically crack as soon as you hit another car. They don't even break they just turn white.

This burnout thing they talk about is just getting a measly 10mph speed increase for about 15 secs, which 50% of the time you end it with a crash. To get this burnout thing you must drive against traffic, near miss cars, and powerslide, not a very good idea if you don't want to crash.

I am not a fan of extremely hard games, but this is one of them. Since I got this game a month ago I've played total 6 hours. All I have to show for it is 1 championship race and one face off race. Basically 5% complete.

The graphics are good. All these people say that the graphics stink, but I see no flaw in them. The race replays look very well done.

This game only has about 9 cars in it. Now if this game had more cars in it it would have been much better. It is better for any car game to have a lot of cars. Think of if gran turismo had only 10 cars, how much less you would play it.

The crash replays are not that good. Even though you can replay them, after the first time you see it it gets boring.

I would recommend renting this game first as with all games and then buy it if you like it.
