"It was definitely not what I expected"

Okay. I was excited when Acclaim decided to finally make 18 Wheeler for Playstation 2. I have played it on Dreamcast and on the Arcade. I loved it but on Arcade I hated spending all that money. So I waited and waited and here it is. Not willing to take a chance, I went to Blockbuster and rented it for that $5.41. So I get home, and I turned the game on. It was definitely not what I expected.

The game was on the fun side, but after I kept losing on the stage going to Dallas, I got frustrated. I stopped playing, and came back to it later. I lost again, and got even more frustrated. At that point, I was happy I rented it and not bought it. MY SCORE-- 6

Let me just say, that this game is literally impossible to beat. Its difficulty is off the charts. I was also playing on very easy. I usually very good at video games but this was unreal. Also, how are you supposed to beat parking when you lose 4 seconds for hitting something? You might sat it makes it more challenging but seriously. I beat the first stage and thats it. SCORE-- 3 for easiness

Now to the controls. How could you make R1 accelerate. They want to make us confused. Lucky I remembered that its possible to change the controls. I suggest these if you have played NASCAR or GT3 or something like that.
X-accelerate square-brake O- reverse R1-Gear Shift, and discard everything else. If you want the horn L1. SCORE--4

The story is definitely legit. I could understand you going around trying to be a trucker but they execute it the wrong way. I liked the idea, and they should make a sequel just make it a little bit better. So with that I give it a 7.

The graphics could not have been much better, and were on the bad side considering this is PS2. But since this is PS2 they weren't bad. I give them a 6. The sound was so bad they should just be no sound except for the truck noises. That was the good part. The people are always saying the same things and its always the same music. I give it a 4.

Once you beat the game if you even beat the game, DO NOT PLAY IT AGAIN. It will get so boring. Play something else like parking or score attack. Play versus with your friends. You should not replay it. For replayability I give it a 2.

Now the value. Should you buy it or rent it? My suggestion is rent it. If you like it buy it. Don't spend 50 dollars unless you love it. For value I give it a 4.

After giving all of my input and my scores, I came out with an average of a horrific 4.3.
