Time Crisis II
Review by Karma Man
"Shooting without a worry......"
Gameplay:
Pretty simple, of course it would be good if you had a Guncon(Which is $60 including the game). You point and shoot. However you also have buttons on your Guncon to let you take cover or go kamakaze. The gun that comes along with the game is orange(if you're from the U.S.) which looks a little tacky, but hey, you don't want to mistaken a Guncon to a real one do you?
First off in the game you will notice an amount of bullets you have on your hud. When you run out of bullets you have to take cover to reload. There are also a machine gun type pick up that you might get and you get different bullets with automatic shooting. It's as simple as that. Gameplay is not a flaw so don't worry.
There are also certain colored enemies, each with their own special ability. The ones you might want to look out for are the orange ones.
Story:
You are one of two cops going after a satellite stolen by a baddie and you are also supposed to rescue a girl(Typical). There are three areas in all with a variety of bosses. Which all you must kill to go after the final baddie. Though this game is mostly for shooting, story doesn't affect the game at all.
Sound:
Not much here, just lots of gunshots. Well there is voice acting, which is not too shabby. I don't really see a flaw in voice acting, so lets move on.
Replayabillity:
Well, you've beaten the game, now what? There's an extra mode called ''Crisis Mode'' where you do certain objectives in a certain amount of time. For example, kill three baddies in 5 seconds. Sometimes you have worry about hostages too, which is pretty cool. That mode makes up for the shortness of the game(Especially if you got infinite credits mode).
Rent of Buy?:
I highly recommend renting it. It's more of a party game then a stand-alone one, but you certainly will not regret buying it though. If you got what it takes to beat shooting games in a couple of days, rent it.
My Thoughts:
I got board of the game because new games started to come out, but from time to time you will find yourself going back to Time Crisis 2, so don't worry, it won't be left on the shelf for a year. With the crises mode and variety of secrets you won't be disappointed.
