Soul Reaver 2
Review by Jody

This game is awesome. truly awesome. an excellent story line, and gripping gameplay. There's something about this game, the kind of game your bound to have at least ONE dream about, and when you wake up in the morning you can't wait to play it.
It was actually odd, you see, i played this before i played Soul Reaver, and STILL found it great. Which means you'll be able to just pick up and play this, sure if you've played the first one you'll be filled in on the story line, but Soul Reaver 2 is where all the improvements were made.
Now, being a PS2 game, you can expect some jaw-dropping graphics, the cut scenes are truly cinematic, and the audio is synched perfectly. You can except some excellent and somewhat famous one liners in here too.
''One must keep his friends close, but his enemies closer.''
''There are only 2 sides to a coin, but suppose, one day, if you should throw it enough, the coin should land on its edge?''
The only bad thing I have to say about this game is that the save system is a bit frustrating, not the actual saving, but the various dungeons/temples are quite challenging (which is good,) but, unlike in Soul Reaver, which I only bought after playing through Soul Reaver 2, it doesn't save your progress in the dungeons, you cannot save anywhere like you could in the first Soul Reaver.
The battle system in Soul Reaver 2 is also extremely good, not very complex and easy to get used to, and is fun chopping people's heads off and feasting upon their soul.
After completing the game, (which is fun, and believe you me, challenging) you get extra features! With hilarious out takes, story boards, previous stories and other cool stuff.
There are practically no loading times in Soul Reaver either, you can literally just turn on your PS2 and begin playing in minutes.
What I loved about this game was the wide range of weaponry available in the game, after killing various enemies in the game, you can pick up their weapons and use it on them, but using the wraith blade (the soul reaver's spirit) is great fun too, as the blade literally smashes the victim into oblivion!
Throughout the game it never loses its medieval touch, this may be a turn off for many games players, but the excellent dialogue and fun gameplay does keep you very entertained.
If you love your games with great story lines, graphics, gameplay and an all-round good time, then I advise you to and get this quick!
