"Metal Gear Solid 3: Bearded Justice."

Jack Wade has a beard. He infiltrates terrorist facilities and secret labs in the middle of the night. But damn it, he has a beard. Sure, Solid Snake has plenty of hair on his face, but this is one hell of a beard. Oh... yeah, I'm er writing a review.

Graphics (7/10)

You'd think the graphics would have improved now that the game has made the jump to PS2, but they haven't at all. As for the graphics themselves, they're quite good, with some well designed environments. The character models are quite well done and move realistically. The textures are OK, but nothing special. They really shine in the biking section though. Buildings whizz past you as you fly towards them at 100 mph without a hint of slow-down or pop-up. The graphics in summary are good but not great.

Sound (10/10)

Brilliant. The game has it's own film-like score! The music suits each situation you are put into- like metallic noises mixed with electronica for the labs, or the suitably hectic noise when you've been spotted (like alerting in MGS). The sound effects are also excellent, like the motorbikes revving noise as you smash through cross town traffic and the weapons make some nice bangs aswell. As for the characters voices, they're alright, but Jack Wade is a bit gruff in the voice *cough* Solid Snake *cough*

Humour (1/10)

OK, I know, I know, not exactly a major category, but I'm still getting over the ''They call me the robot cowboy'' ''The rest of us call you asshole'' incident. *shivers*

Gameplay (8/10)

Exactly like MGS but that isn't a bad thing is it? It's got a bit more action injected into the mix aswell. The controls supplement the game nicely, and you'll be pulling off a roll into a double shot move. The biking sections are not brilliant, but fast paced. it's good gameplay but that brings us onto our next section...

Lifespan (2/10)

Absolutely one of the shortest games ever. What about replay value? Ohhh... just an oppurtunity to play the game a second time through with more weapons.Great. Now the game is easier to complete second time round.Shortest PS2 game ever.

Overall (8/10)

A MGS clone with more action and a biking element. Interesting and definitely worth a look.

Rent or Buy (In my opinion: rent)

It's too short to buy.o not buy unless you are the slowest gameplayer ever. It's got no replay value. Don't buy.
