Max Payne

"Max Payne delivers!"

This game was great. The setting was dark and the mood was dreary . The setting of the story made the game a bit scary and different. Just about everything in the game was interactive. The weapons and all the gore really made the game spectactular.The realness of the game could freak someone out who has a weak stomach.Yet all of what happened in the game could really happen to someone in real life, which it terrifying.The strange people and the screams really added to this horrifying game.
Bullet-Time (the ability to dodge bullets while in the air in slow motion very much like as in the Matrix)was great and was really needed and helpful in this game. It was also very visually cool.
It rally helped in tight places and when you were hurt or just needed a bit more time to think and needed more reaction time.Bullet-Time was probably the coolest addition in the game.

Gameplay- The controls to this game were not hard to learn and seemed easy enough to work with.
This game was fun and very challenging at parts. You had to think about what you were doing and act fast.This was a game of think and act , there wasn't really any time to hesitate for a second could cause your death.

Story -The story line was very frightening , sad , and depressing.He had such a nice life and then one night his life turns into a living hell. It was so sad to see how one man's life could be taken away from him so quick and then he channels all of his anger to the point of when his anger gets the very best of him and he lets his fears and hate guide him through his journey. Great story line, I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

Audio/Video -The sound was great.Instead of having cut scenes they used comic strips. It made the game more interesting and made it more creative. The graphics were nice and the audio was good. The eerie music gave a touch to the settings.The speech and the voice acting of the characters were nice. I enjoyed all of the metaphors and deranged speaking that Max used. The Audio and Video were great and i wouldn't change a thing about it.

Re playability - This is a game that perhaps i could put down after I beat it. it was a very fun game but it was challenging.I would play it again just to see if I could beat it in a faster time , but other than that they allow you to chose the chapters and go to the parts of the game if you have beaten it.So if you have a favorite part you could just load it up and play it over again instead of having to restart a new game or saving a different file on your memory card.

To buy or to rent? - This is a game I suggest that you should buy. It shows off the potential of the Playstation 2 and it is definitely a great work of RockStar. If you are up for the eerie scenery and guns and gore, or you just like good storyline or graphics this game should definitely be a game for you.
