Burnout
Review by HIT
"Is Burnout right for you?"
I walked to Blockbuster to rent a game. I was checking out things at that store. There was Spiderman and I was about to get it. Then I saw Burnout. The cover and the back looks interesting, so I rented it.
I came home and played it. The first time I played it, it was awesome. Then the awesome feeling of the game kept on fading, fading, and fading away from me.
Gameplay- This is a fun game for me. The whole concept of the game is racing and this game is an arcade racing game. There is traffic, too and you have to race through that. On the way, you might crash and crashing totally sucks. After you crash, you have to wait for 3 to 5 seconds. It gets very irritating after awhile. There's also the Burnout meter. It's a meter that judges you on how you drive. If the meter is full, you get turbo and that's not a bad idea. You then press R1 to use it.
The controls of this game is pretty solid. There's X for accelerating and the Square Button for Brake and Circle for honking the horn. You can also change the view for this game. There's third person and first person.
If you have the steering wheel, it will be a better experience than your analog controller. Truly is is that the steering wheel is better. You see, when you are driving, you will have fun steering it and not trying to crash into trucks and other things.
It depends if this game is hard or easy. If you go to the Single mode you can choose your opponents to be hard or easy. In ChampionShip mode, they are kind of hard.
Audio/Video- The audio of the game is not that good. There's music, but those music gets on your nerves very quickly.
The graphics are normal. By that, I mean that it is not the Gran Turismo 3 type graphics. The car models are normal, too. The background and the cities are pretty good. It is that good that I wanted to visit those sites.
Replayability- When you beat the whole game, you won't want to play it again. This will get boring and boring. When you stop playing, you might want to trade it for a new game. There are extra modes in the game like Faceoff. Faceoff is when you and another car race to see who wins.
But or Rent- This is a RENTAL. It is not worth buying this game, but its worth renting it. If this game is 5 bucks, I still won't buy it. That's why you have to rent. This is a good party game and bring your friends over too.
