NASCAR Thunder 2002

"Excellent Racing Game"

To me, one of my favorite racing games was NASCAR 99. Until NASCAR Heat 2002 came out. Which I absolutely loved! But, the game was SO easy. In the Season Mode I could lap everyone on the track. The 2nd place position car would be 8 laps down half of the time. Then came alone NASCAR Thunder 2002, which I got for Christmas, and I loved it! So here comes my review of this great game.

Graphics:
Wow! That's all I can say about it. The graphics on this game are excellent! When you're driving around on the track for a night race, which starts out at dusk then goes into night, the sun is shining down on you, and the sun goes into your eyes sort of. And the cars are made excellent and everything. So I give the graphics a perfect 10. 10/10

Gameplay:
The gameplay is really good. You've got the Career and Season mode, 2 player, create mode to keep you going. The Career Mode lasts a long time. And you have to keep on playing it to unlock a lot of the drivers. And I love doing the 2 player mode, let me tell you something you can do while in 2 player. Just so you and your friend can race. Go to a short track. Have your friend and you to line up to the top of the track, to the bottom, line up and wait for the other racers to come around, they'll stop, and keep on backing up, and eventually they'll get themselves out!!! I did this twice with my cousin thinking that it was a glitch the first time around, but it isn't! It was awesome. 10/10

Difficulty:
Well this game can be very difficult at times. It's messed up sometimes, I was playing the career mode, and I was leading at least by 5 seconds, I slowed down a little bit in a turn and the 2nd place position car was right on my bumper!!! But sometimes it can be easy. But most of the time hard, so it's really challenging. It's impossible to lap cars. So on this, I'm giving it a 9/10.

Sound:
The sound on this is really good. You can hear the car engines very well. And overall the sound is excellent. I sort of wish there was announcers. Sometimes like on the other NASCAR games the announcers were sort of annoying. But oh well. 9/10

Music:
Here you don't have much going for you. While in the set-up mode, you got Lynard Sknyard's ''Sweet Home Alabama'' and something else. Other NASCAR games, you had music while in the set-up and while you were racing. Sad. 5/10

Replay Value:
I still play this game to this date. This game is awesome! And you have to play it again. So what if you drive around in circles? For goodness sakes you drive around the same ol road when you drive. What's the difference? But you have to play this game over and over. 10/10
