"Somewhat, an excuse for a BMX game and somewhat an awesome game."

The game??? Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2. I must say this kind of disappointed me and I'm sure it disappointed some other fans too.. The reason it disappointed me is because I wanted to actually do original tricks not things that are already done for you. The trick tweaking system? Come ON ACTIVISION 02!!! PICK IT UP!! Wheres that Create-A-Biker? Wheres that good stuff? I mean, this game came out like 1 year after THPS3 and what did it have? Create-A-Park, no Create-a-Biker, and a dumb tweaking system that allows you to do only 4 or 5 tweaks. Dave Mirra has unlimited amounts of tweaks it seems, yet some of them are unreal when you combine them with a trick. Some people say it's an awesome game, some people think it's a hunk of junk with some cool looking flatland tricks. Like I mentioned above, I was kind of disappointed with this game, but seeing the flatland tricks were surprising. I'm sorry Activision, but it's time to face the facts, I expected more from you guys, and I definitely expected to create my own biker based on myself, since BMX is one of my favourite things.

Graphics 8/10:
Yeah, this definitely stands out in the game, pure, richly detailed graphics, nice environment, the riders look real except that they look somewhere else to the side when they should be focusing on doing a trick. Looking to the side while doing a huge trick isn't my idea of the best graphics. It had to step down to an 8. Still, Activision O2 impressed me with the graphics.

Sound 7/10:
The sounds of grinding sound pretty real, but there are no tire noises in this game. Only pedaling, grinding, bailing and people saying something to you.

Music 3/10:
The music is an excuse for this game. They hardly match the riding except that song Freestyler but I mean come on... I was disappointed in the soundtrack for this game, Dave Mirra Max Remix had a better track than this!!

Gameplay 7/10:
The gameplay is kind of repetitive, but I'll always want to see the videos for the game and stuff like that... I just like to repeat these games so I can get the videos.. The flatland is just fun to look at and it can rack up some easy points for you as there are 4 different manuals and you can switch positions while your in a manual.

Controls 9/10:
So easy to get used to, took me about 5 minutes, it's just as easy as Mat Hoffman 1, but sometimes the double-tap moves can be a pain. I usually have to tap it 3 times to get that move working. Oh well, the controls aren't that messed up..

Overall 8/10:
I may be a fan of video games for Extreme Sports but that doesn't mean I automatically want to give this game a 10 which I didn't. The game has to earn it's score and this game earned an 8.. Why? First of all, the Sound, music, and a minor part of the graphics. Not enough flatland, and too many already done tricks for you. I hate those already made tricks.. I like to make them myself like you can in Mirra.

Buy or Rent: Ok, personally I didn't go rushing out to EB or Future Shop to just grab this game.. I went to a rental store and I rented it. If you want to see if this game is for you, then you go out and rent it. Don't get it because people say ''IT'S DA BOMB!'' or ''It's awesome, go buy it now!!''. Get it if you like it, I'm getting this game soon because I like it..
