"Fun, fast racing, and cool looking vehicles to boot."

STORY: 0/10
This game has no story.

GRAPHICS: 9/10
Playstation 2 can’t really have bad graphics. This game graphics are pretty good. The levels
themselves are very colorful, and as are the vehicles. The vehicles look really neat, every one of
them. They are also shiny, which looks neat when you drive around. When you do tricks, it
shows a rainbow colored streak come from the tires that looks pretty fancy, and when you turbo
the affect is awesome.

GAMEPLAY: 9/10
This game is a rather basic racing game, but it is fun. You can collect several power-ups that can
send your foes flying and let you gain advantage, but not so that if you get hit by a bomb you
basically loose. There are other power-ups such as quicker turning, turbo boosts, shield, and
what not. The tracks are fun, and I like the way the levels run, with short cuts hidden in
shortcuts. The shortcuts aren’t so dramatic that if your in 8th if you take it your in 1st, like on
some other racing games I’ve played. They are quicker, but they aren’t huge, huge shortcuts.
There are lots of un-lockables. You can get cars by beating races, or finding these eggs on
courses, which will give you a hidden car. You can un-lock new tracks, and even upgrade your
vehicle.

CONTROL: 7/10
Speeding down a lane is pretty cool, and to do tricks all you have to do is hold R2 and press left,
right, up, or down to do rolls or flips. You get rewarded with tricks by turbo boosts. You can
use special weapons at the touch of a button, and to drop them behind you all you have to do is
hold rear view and press a button. Turning, on the other hand, isn’t so good. Vehicles are
anything than sharp turners, yet it’s not that bad. Turning is quicker than some games I’ve
played. Very few tracks have 90 degree corners that make you smash into the wall, otherwise the
corners are usually rounded, and you can make them without hitting anything. Hitting a wall
doesn’t send you flying back and all over and what not, instead it slows you down a bit, and then
does a quick turn, which you will slide across the wall unless you press the opposite direction.
Turning isn’t a real big difficulty.

DIFFICULTY: 7/10 (0 being the easiest, 10 being the hardest)
This game starts out easy, but later on it gets tough, regardless of which mode you play. You can
get away with beating all the computers by simply taking short-cuts for a while, but near they end
they will always take them. They also begin to cheat. Hitting them with a power-up’s effects will
decrease dramatically, and them hitting you does the same. Thankfully, you can turn the
power-ups off so they don’t have that advantage over you.

LENGTH: 7/10:
This game will keep you occupied for a while, with lots of un-lockables and a tough Champion
Mode. Racing against your friends is a lot of fun, so your constantly trying to unlock things so
you can try them out on the multi-player mode.

MUSIC: 9/10
This game’s music is awesome! It’s mostly some form of cool techno music for the city type
areas. For the out doors level, the music is some sounds like a rock and roll version of Wild Arms
music. Pretty cool, the music fits every level perfectly.

RENT OR BUY:
Buy. This game will last a long, long time, just un-locking everything. It’s a good game to pick
up and play and race your friends if your bored.

OVERALL: 8/10
It’s a great racing game, with a cool multi-player and lots of un-lockables. The music and the
vehicles are sweet, so you’ll find yourself playing it for hours without end.
