Smuggler's Run 2: Hostile Territory
Review by no brain
"(sarcasm) Oh wow! this is sooo fun! (/sarcasm)"
Obviouslly I did not like Smugglers Run 2, and for a number of reasons. I sincerely hope nobody has paid up anything more than $3.42 for this game. And you'd be getting ripped off even paying that! Now on to the review of this disgrace of a ''game''
----
Graphics 6/10
The best part about this game is the graphics which are barely above average. I will give credit for it having (sorta) big levels. Though not as big as ATV OffRoad Fury, they do stretch on for quite a few miles. However the texturing is cheaply done and since the levels are so big you can tell that everything looks exactly the same! Although I never found myself getting lost. Barely better than Smugglers Run.

Gameplay 2/10
If you plan on playing anything other than the (slightly) amusing JoyRide mode, then you had better have a few asprin and a lot of patience. Basically, you just drive around picking up little yellow boxes and take them to a random place on the map marked by red smoke. Some missions are timed, some aren't. Hardly innovative, it harkens back to the uber simplistic days of Atari2600. However, once you are faced with opponents (AI opponents) things go downhill... FAST!
It seems that once you get the package from the enemy, who almost always gets it before you, your engine always seems to stall for no apparent reason. Giving the enemy ample time to steal the contraband back and haul it off towards their drop off point. i can't believe I never broke my controller in rage...

Sound 3/10
Average, its all been done before with these games. Not too bad, but none too good either. However the music is a god forsaken ''trance music'' type of crap that probably took no more than 4 minutes to record and mix. My goodness, I have never really been a fan of techno, but I have always endured and tollerated it in the thousands of other games that feature it. But for the love of Bob, why did they pay a deaf guy to make the soundtrack?!

Buy or Rent?
Do you really even need to ask my opinion on this one? Okay, outside of morbid curiosity, niether! Don't even bother wasting $4 on a weekend rental. Maybe in a couple of months when it's on the bargan shelf you can get it to either laugh at, or burn in a dumpster along with ''games'' such as Morrowind.
Why have you let me down RockStar?

Overall 3/10
(Not an average of above scores)
Maybe this was just an excersise on amateur night at R* proggraming school. Yeah, that's it. No real game designer would ever let this behemoth of crap ever be released. Now back to the boards!
