Legaia 2: Duel Saga

"If you like the first one, you like the second one"

After playing this game for some time which I got this go not long ago, I found this game to have many new improvements from the old one and even more mini-games. If thing that makes the game shine from any other rpg games is its revolutionary TAS battle system, in which you input keys like up,down,left,right and if you put in a right order, you might make a special move which does more damage than regular attack. Anyway, if you played the original Legend of Legaia, you will be familiarize with the TAS battle system. The only thing i hate is that you cant move the camera when your in the field or in some dungeon.

Story 7/10
The story in this game is about the young lad who eventually has to take on this quest to retrieve this stolen water crystal, but he will run into many things which will effect him later on. The story in the beginning is not really complex but later on you will find on what's the story's purpose. The story in this game is quite different from the LoL game.

Graphics 8/10
The graphics are way way better than the first legend of Legaia or LoL for short. If you played the original you will se how much chunky the characters look in that game but check out the graphics in this game and you will see the difference its such a nice improvements eidos have done with the graphics. Don't forget about monsters because they also look very well detailed all the way from head to toe. Some of the towns, dungeons and field look like they were just rushed and lack good detail. Also every time you equip a different weapon, you can see the weapons design during battle but sadly, every armor you equip is never shown at all.

Music/Sound 8/10
Much of the voice acting takes place in battles yet the thing that makes it noticeable during the battles is that the characters say different phrases depending on what you make them do from doing combo's or getting attacked by the enemy. Take too much damage from an enemy and you will see how the character will react to it from the injury he got like gasping for air and saying ''is that your best'' or just a simple flinch. The music is nicley and is play's great with some very good tunes because some of these composer also made composed music for the other popular rpg titles out there.

Gameplay 10/10
Truly no other rpg game out there had never ever used the TAS battle system. Its totally amazing because it uses both fighting and rpg elements which makes it enjoyable even if your a person who hates or does not like fighting games and it's also fun to learn more combos so you can try it out on the monsters!!. The Gameplay is so great, that you wont even feel like your playing a fighting game at all. Something new added to this game is the ability to customize or make your own items which you collect from monsters. If you played FF8 you know what i mean by that.

What you though this game is going to be short?? NOPE!!, it has many new mini-games to play from and even the mini-games from the original Legend of Legaia are in this game like the fishing game to new ones like side jumping, gardening cooking etc.

-No more absorbing monsters

In the end, the game is more superior than the first Legend of Legaia with many new features added and for any LoL fans out there this game is a must get!! If your reading my review, i suggest you get this game!!
