The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2
Review by Omni Tattered Devil
"All most as good as the actual game!"
The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2 is not really a game, more like an interactive DVD. It is only $20, and worth every cent. It contains everything from all the FMVs (Polygon Demos), to the original script. And as a bounus, it has 5 VR Missions from the upcoming game MGS2: Substance. No on to the review.
Graphics: 10/10
The graphics are exactly the same as Metal Gear Solid 2's. 'nough said.
Storyline: 0/10
No story in this game, its a demo. Well, that is unless you count the script as a story point in this game, which I don't. Otherwise this would have gotten a 10/10.
Gameplay: 10/10
The gameplay (even though there is very little) is fun while it lasts. Though, I keep popping this game back in to play Raiden's sword mission. Don't buy this looking for 10+ hours of guard torture, though.
Extras: 10/10
This is what this ''game'' is all about. Extras. You can look at every single FMV in Metal Gear Solid 2 (with, sadly, no sound) pause them, and move around in full 3D. You can look through every backround in the game, even unused ones. You can look at the character models. You can read the script. Hell, this thing will keep you entertained for hours.
Replay Value: 5/10
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy this game for the gameplay! It has very little replay, except for the semi-addictive VR missions.
Overall, this is a great little DVD, not much of a game, though. It gets a 9, because it kept me entertained more then some full games. They will not be mentioned. This would normally get a 10, but it is not really a game. If it were, it would have a perfect game's score.
