Red Faction II

"This is a great FPS that should be in anyones collection."

Well I already played the first game for Playstation 2 and I seemed to like it, so I decided to get this game. After 2 minutes of playing I was surprised about how THQ improved on the sequel.

Graphics- 9/10
Now these graphics are not Final Fantasy 10's Graphics, but they are good. They are average graphics that a normal FPS would have. They are just as good if not better graphics as Medal of Honor Frontline, and Deus Ex the conspiracy. They are a definite improvement from the first game.

Gameplay 9/10
The game itself is good. There are 14 weapons including some old weapons and some new ones. Most weapons have two functions.I have not really gotten into the game, but what I have seen of it, it is very good. There is some basic stuff from the original game that is in this game. Now if you didn't play the first game, don't worry because if you have knowledge from other FPS like climbing through air ducts and stuff like that, you will be fine. The characters have very good AI. The controls can be customized to your liking.

Multiplayer 9/10
The multiplayer is the second reason why I would want you to pick up this game. First off, there is 40 maps to choose from. There is a total of five games. The games are death match, capture the flag, bagman, arena, and one hidden one. The games can also be played in teams. Death Match is a basic all out brawl. In capture the flag, you try to capture the opponents flag. In bagman you get a bag and try to hold it for a long time. In arena, you get one life and you play until there is one man left. The next beat part about the multiplayer, is that you can create you own opponents. You can change its health and anything. Up to four players can play multiplayer.

Lasting appeal 9/10
There are multiple endings in the game. Unlike most games, where the endings depend on your actions, the endings of Red Faction 2 depend on you're performance. The multiplayer is one of a kind. I've never seen as many maps in any FPS. There is also other stuff to unlock, like movies and stuff.

Rent or Buy- If you played the original Red Faction, this is a must buy. If you never played the First Red action, I would rent this first.
