NBA 2K3

"This game is the best basketball game this year!!!"

Well I have been playing this game for a week and this will be my first review in Gamefaqs, So let's get thing started.

Presentation: I was impressed with the ESPN presentation. The layout is similar to the one in ESPN and it also ESPN style game recaps. I like this feature and hardcore basketball fans will enjoy this too. I give it a 8.

Graphics: I love the graphics. It's closes thing to their real life counterparts. The player looks real from head to toe but still needs some work. If you want to see eyecandy get the X-Box version which in online will play better because of the high speed connection.

Sound: The commentary is annoying and the Sportscenter music gets repetitive. The fans don't really get in the game and just claps for the rest of the game. The players should talk like say the F-word everytime they commit a stupid foul or the Boston fans shouting wife beater to Jason Kidd during Celtic home games. I give it a 6.

Gameplay: The gameplay has slightly improved, they added new features like the pivot move, it really works well if you really well if you want space so you can make a jumpshot. The gameplay is the same as last year except more blown layups. You really can't challenge any shots and you really don't have any control of the game, the AI is not so smart and setting the sliders can be really confusing. I really don't have time to play a 12 minute game just to get realistic stats because life is too short to be playing this game for so long. They need to improve the gameplay so I will give it a score of 6.

Replayability: Their isn't really much to do except play the franchise mode. The features are the same from last year. I think last years game had more replayability. I will giveit a 7.

To Buy or Rent? I suggest you rent this game first, unless you're a hardcore fan of the series then you should buy it. If you're a gamer who just want a quick game with your friends then this game isn't really for you.

Closing Statement: I think the developers rushed this game so it really wasn't good. They tried to do too much that they ruined th gameplay. I was really anticipating this game and it's a big letdown. I hope it's going to be better next year.
