World Soccer Winning Eleven 6 International

"THIS is Football, not that other game (Part 2)"
Introduction
This is Konami's second Pro Evolution Soccer game to come out on Playstation 2, and now that it has bigger competition in This is Football 2003 and FIFA Football 2003, will it be able to retain its number one football game place in the league?
Another question on every fans lips is: 'Does this game have enough new features to warrant the £40 price tag?'
Graphics
Pro Evolution Soccer mastered the game engine last time. So there was no need to change. But Konami has made more of a effort to get facial features and better stadiums. The stadiums are beautiful, flares go off, the structures are rendered brilliantly and the crowd wear authentic team kits while waving their banners in the air.
Sound
Another bad outing for this section of the game, but not many people find it too important. Just annoying. Commentary is supplied by Trevor Brooking, which is an improvement over the last game. Crowds still sing songs and roar when a goal goes in.
Also, there is now two classic songs from Queen ('We will Rock you' and 'We are the champions'.) that you will hear on the game menu.
Gameplay
Konami mastered this aswell in the previous games but some new touches have been added. Instead of your player sometimes standing and watching the ball roll to his feet he will make a run towards it and your player will now not hit the ball out when you dont want him to. The formations are the same but tactics can be applied differently because the team tactics have changed.
The modes remain the same but now the best mode, Master League, has three divisions and you can loan players out. There is also the addition of the recently implemented Transfer window.
A few things that I would of liked are still not in though, the fairly ok to include ones: Diving, professional foul. And the farfetched one: Streakers and a referee.
Controls
Controls are the same as the last game. X is pass, Square is shoot,Circle is cross (High, middle, low depending on how many times pressed), Triangle provides a through ball etc. Then there are the skills like a short stepover, long stepover, slow dribble, normal dribble. Controls are more responsive that last time so things ain't as frustrating.
Multiplayer
If any of you read my last review then you would see my favourite multiplayer was Timesplitters. But that has now took third place, Pro Evolution Soccer 2 is the best multiplayer ever, quite simple. Its amazing fun when you get three or four mates round and one brings a multitap.
Lifespan
This will last you right through till Pro Evolution Soccer 3 comes out.
Overall
Better than This is Football 2003, better than FIFA 2002, better than Pro Evolution Soccer. The only game that can stop Pro Evo's stroll to the top of the soccer game table is FIFA 2003. And i doubt that will do the job.
Loads of cups, loads of replay value, loads of fun and well worth your hard earned cash!
Rent or Buy?
If you have Pro Evolution Soccer I suggest you rent it if you are not completely sure if the game is that much of a improvement over the original
If you have just bought a Playstation2 and you are looking for the best football game ever, buy Pro Evolution Soccer 2. Although you should try and order or buy the game though for around £32-35.
Final word
The best football game ever
