Review by RevolverSnake

"How can a documenary be so much fun????"

The answer to that question is that it just is. That and Konami people are geniuses...but let's get on with the review. I wont do this the traditional review way, because this a different kind of game.

The only flaw of this game is that there is barely any gameplay. Don't buy this expecting to be punching the controller too much. For fans like me,though, this is excellent. Here is all the stuff you can do with this:

-Characters, backgrounds, and mechs. You can view these things in full 3D(With rotation) or at the story board. It may be fun, but it gets old after a while. Rating:7

-Script. You can read the entire freaking script. A stroke of genius. If anyone is having trouble in understanding the story, this is perfect for those tough situations. Rating: 9

-VR mISSIONS. A lot of fun, but there are only 5 of them. They dont last long. It is fun to use all the new MGS2 mechanics in VR, and the sword is great, but it falls a little short. Rating:7

-BGM Music. A lot of fun. The music is great, and there is quite a selection. Rating:8

-Behind the Scenes stuff. These are really quite cool. It was fun to watch the game being developed. Rating:8

-Cutscenes. You will have so much fun using these! Not only can you watch every single movie in the game, you can pause them, do slow-mo, zoom, pan the camera...it's a load of fun. In some cutscenes, it is hard to see what is going on, and this works wonders for that. Pause it at the right time to make a truly dramatic scene. The lack of any voices or sound(There are subtitles) knocks at it a little. Rating:9.5

By themselves, these extras are not too strong, but together they are extraordinary! For a documentary, you can squeeze a heck of a lot of time out of Document. To add even more fun to the experience, try to find little things in the maps, such as the posters or the nodes.

Buy or Rent?: An age old question, easily answered here. If you are the slightest bit a MGS2 FAN, PICK IT UP. For 20 bucks, this is an absolute no-brainer. However, if you are only a fan of the gameplay, not the entire experience, you wont enjoy this too much. Rent it for a fun weekend if so. 20 Bucks aint bad though.
