"Here is your world champion!"

Pro Evoloution Soccer 2 is the stunning sequel to Konami's Pro Evoloution Soccer. So much was expected from this game and it didn't disappoint.

GAMEPLAY:Very fun to play. Smooth play, not to easy or to hard. The passing and shooting is much more accurate to previous Konami titles and all other soccer games, nothing beats winning the Konami cup with a last minute through ball finished with a sweet chip over the goalkeeper. There has been unbelievable detail added to some of the best players e.g. Beckham's corner's look like they have been taken by him. The replays have also been vastly improved with 2 angles to view your goal then a free one and the highlights is also a welcome addition to the game. There are new ways in which to win the ball of your opponent including shirt pulling and shoulder barging. The downsides to the gameplay are that free-kicks are ridiculously hard to score from. The AI of computer controlled players could also be improved for future titles. 9/10

GRAPHICS/SOUND:This game is very graphically impressive. From the opening ceremony to the texture of the pitch you are guaranteed quality graphics. When running on a greasy surface, spots of water fly from the players boots and player likenesses is extremely accurate. When an offside decision is given, the defense raise the arms a la Adams and Keown. The detail of the stadia is first class, you are able to distinguish all of them by name. The only downside to the graphics is the fact that they have no licenses so Liverpool play in all red, exactly like Manchester United so they can't be distinguished. Commentary on this game is quite poor. Despite speaking relevantly to whats going on, they regularly talk over each other unrealistically. The crowd, however, is completely different. At the options menu, you can change the crowd stance to derby, neutral, home and away which results in a hot crowd booing or cheering your every move. 9/10-Graphics
7/10-Sound

PLAYING TIME:There are wide variety of competitions to enter. There is the African, European, American, Oceanic or Konami cup mode where you have the chance to conquer the continent or world with your desired nation his can result in hours of gameplay and there are unlockable teams to keep you going. If international football isn't quite your cup of tea why not try MASTER LEAGUE where you can take a club team from Division 3 to Division 1. If thats to easy, try it on the hardest level. I dare you? 8/10

This is a must buy. For the football lover or just for the game freak. Hours of fun and for more purchase a multi-tap2, they go well together. EA move over it's Konami's reign now!
