Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance

INTRODUCTION
I've really never been all that big on the Mortal Kombat series. Sure, I've played most of the MK games. But as far as a fan goes, I've not been a big fan. Now, with that said, I heard that Deadly Alliance was coming out. And I was like, oh yeah. I checked into it. And I went to the message boards asking lots of questions about the game, making sure that I'd want it. So, the game seemed real great. And I went up there at my local Wal-Mart and forked over the cash. I took it home and put it into my PS2. Played it. . . .and LOVED it. So, with all of this said, let's start the review.

SOUND
The sound is real great. The fighters talk, and all of this great stuff. The in game sound is great. Like, when you go to The Krypt, you can hear screaming and stuff like that. Sorta scared me at first, cause I didn't know if it was the game or the outside, lol. But, with all of this said, I'm going to give the sound a perfect score! 10/10

GRAPHICS
Wow. . .that's all I can say. WOW, I mean, the graphics are sweet! The characters are VERY well designed, the blood looks real, the characters faces look hurt because of the fighting. I've never really seen this much detail when it comes to fighting games. The arenas are well laid out and everything. I think this is basically the best graphics I've seen with a fighting game. So, I guess you know what I'm going to give the graphics, you thought of it! A perfect score! 10/10

CONTROLS
The controls are pretty good, it's not a pure button smasher. But, in one of the modes, it gets like that because you have to pull off combos. And after doing that, my fingers were pretty sore. So, I was like, hmmm. But, other than that, the controls are very nice and you don't have to hit like 45 buttons to punch or anything. So, that was a definite plus. So, I'll give the controls a 9 out of 10! 9/10

STORY
Well, this is the story: ''Two powerful sorcerers, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, have joined forces to achieve the supreme goal: immortality.'' So, they join forces and all of that crap. Well, I think the story is pretty good. Most of the time for fighting games, there really is no story. They just repeat themselves. So, with that said, I'll give the story a 9 out of 10! 9/10

GAMEPLAY
There's a lot of stuff to do! You got the Arcade, the Versus, Practice, and Konquest. You also have this thing called The Krypt. Here, you unlock pictures, arenas, and characters with things called Koins. Which, you get different kinds of Koins from the Arcade and Konquest. There's tons of replay value with the Arcade. You have to beat it with all of the characters. Same with the Konquest. The game is very fun as well. It can get pretty difficult as you move on higher up with the Arcade. And that's where the frustration comes into play. So, that'll take up from the score somewhat. So, with all of this said, I'll give the gameplay a 9/10. 9/10

REPLAY VALUE
The replay value like I said in the gameplay part, is VERY high. There's the Konquest and Arcade to do. And besides that, this is a fighting game! So, you'd want to master all of the characters. So, you probably know what I'll be giving the replay value, a perfect score! 10/10

FUN FACTOR
This game is very fun! The versus mode with your friends is great fun, the arcade mode can be fun if you're not breaking your control from some of the hard fighters, and everything else! So, with all of this said, I'll give the fun factor a perfect score! 10/10

BLOOD VALUE
I figured I'd add this section in since this is Mortal Kombat. Okay blood thirsty Mortal Kombat fans, there's A LOT of blood in the game. Whenever you hit your opponent, blood pours down their body and stuff like that. And the fatalities, well, there's lots of blood there. So, if you fighting fans and hardcore Mortal Kombat fans want blood, you got it right here in this game. So, with this said, the blood value gets a perfect score! 10/10

RENT or BUY?
Well, I guess it's pretty obvious of what I'm going to say. But, remember, this is not a biased review. I've never really been all that big into the series. But, now I am with this game. TRUST me, this is an AWESOME FUN fighting game. If you're new into the Mortal Kombat series, this is a great beginner. If you're not all that big into fighting games, STILL buy the game. You'll love it, trust me. Well, with all of this said, BUY the game!
