"Definitely A rental"

This game is not the greatest game, in fact it is quite bad. Yet it does offer something to the racing game market, there aren't to many other games out there that are dune buggy racing kind of games. So if anywhere that's where this game is going to score. I personally found the game quite boring after about 45 minutes. If you are looking to try this game game out it is definitely a rental and definitely not a purchase. If you are like me you will soon get bored of this game. For those of you that have played Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, you will find this game not satisfying. For example, turning in this game is really slow and laggy. I know the buggys are riding across really sloppy terain but the controls should be more sensitive so you can practice more finite turns, and get a better feel for different cars and there attributes. There isn't that much of selection of cars in this game either, nor much selection of tracks. The worst part of this game that I find would definitely be the physics engine. The physics in this game are really bad, an example of which would be when you drive your car from dirt to the smooth paved surface, usually on the straight away. When your car goes on to the smooth road, a puff of white smoke will puff up, and the car doesn't even seem to handle better at all. It's like the same physics where put into the off-road part and the smooth paved road are identical.

What is this game even about ?
This game is an off-road dune buggy racing game. You have to beat other cars in races to advance through the game. All in all if your a REAL dune buggy person, this game will have more to offer to you than the average gamer, or maybe the complete oposite as you will realize that a dune buggy doesn't actually act like that at all. The part about this game in which I find the most frustrating is the handling and controls of the buggys as you are driving through a narrow stretch. I often ram into walls even though i slow down to a considerable low speed yet the car just slides into the wall. Now I know it is on md and everything but even if you do this on paved surfaces you will find the buggys still have a sloppy handling. That is the mane dis advantage in this game, If it had a better handling system this game would score much higher than it did.

The graphics.....The graphics in this game are nothing special. All the races take place on a muddy sloppy track with twisty turns, The best thing I have to say about the graphics is that when you accelerate really hard, mud actually sprays behind you being kicked up form your tires. The mud look's some what realistic but that is most likely becuase it is such a minor detail. Another aspect of the graphics is the boards at the side of the road. They are quite hazzy and dont look attractive at all. Same with the actual surface, on some tracks the mud looks really dark and isn't life like.

Over all game play
If you are looking for a cheap game then this game should deliver, It already has a really low price, and with that low price comes low quality. Although that is not always true, an example of which would be Gran Turismo 3 A-spec which is now also at a low price but has really good graphics and so on and so on. I know I made relations with Wild Wlid Racing to Gran Turismo 3 A-spec, but that game seems to be one of the most popular racing games and I think many people can relate to it. I also know that it is somewhat unfair to judge to games that are on such different levels in terms of overall game play and graphics, but again, I thought more people could relate to it and it would make for a good comparison on my behalf. In conclusion I think this game could of been much much better than it was, It had the potential to become a great Off-raod racer if more time and money had been put into it, but it obviously wasn't and this is what we have. I wouldn't recomend any one to buy this game as of it's poor grahpics and game play, not to mention it's very low re-playability level. However if you are an off-road enthusiast why not rent this game to check it out. You may just find more out of it thatn what I found
