"Look Ma, no hands!"

Well I haven't played the first ATV, but I saw the commercial for this one so I just had to pick it up. The second I started, I was in love. Forget hot girls. Just give me ATV Off Road Fury 2 and I'll be set! I love this game, and I think everyone that tries will too.

Story Line: None Hello? This is a racing game! Forget story line and plots! Just race, race, and race!

Game Play: 9/10 Now the good stuff. In this game, you ride these awesome off road ATV bike thingies. You race in different courses against computer opponents. As you win races and championships, you gain Profile Points. These points can be used to unlock more ATVs, rider gears (helmet, clothes, etc.), mini games, and courses. The amount of Profile Points you gain in a course depends on how much points you get from busing rad stunts. For every 1000 points you get 1 Profile Point, so the more awesome stunts you do, the more you get. You need to unlock everything to get 100% completion, so the Profile Points are important.

In the Championships, you race in about five to six courses (if it is a racing one). You get certain points after you complete a course. You have to get a certain place to be able to advance to the next couse. This can be a little furstrating because some of the levels are very, VERY hard. Well it takes a while to beat so the Championships are very fun. Oh I forgot to mention, you get about 500 Profile Points if you get first place. Great, huh?

In single races, you can race against computerized opponents, ride around in free mode with no time limit, or go through objective rides, completing objectives. Doing the race and the objective rides will get you Profile Points. Lots of way to get those things huh?

Now for Multi-player. You have at least one friend, right? Well with just one friend, you can race against each other or play mini games. Don't have friends? No problem. If you have the internet connector for the PS2, you can race against people half way around the world! Gotta love internet.

The only basic flaw is the sensitivity of the rider. If you bump into a pole or a tree, you go flying off your ATV. If you land even a little bit funny after a jump and a stunt, you will get your head in the ground. But hey, if you can't wipe out, what good is the game?

Controls: 10/10 The controls are very easy to memorize. X is accelerate, Square is break, Triangle and Circle are stunts, and hold down L1 in the air with the Tri and Circles to do intense stunts. See? Easy to memorize.

Graphics: 10/10 The graphics in this game is absolutely positively awesome! Each level is extremely well detailed. It almost looks real! Each ATV is well designed, the apparels the riders wear is well designed as well (with logos and stuff), and the courses are extremely similar to the real out doors. The only thing missing are animals, but hey who needs those? In the courses, the trees are really well detailed, dirt goes flying when you go through mud, you can see gray smoke coming out of your ATV when you're going 55 miles per hour, and the water making waves when you ride through a pond or some body of water. The graphics is absolutely superb.

Sound/Music: 10/10 Like music? Well in this game, there are some sound tracks you can listen to during the courses. Theres Korn, System of a Down, and the Boom Shakalakalaka! There are some more as well. Also the sound effect is great. You can hear the ATV moving fast across the ground, you can hear the ATV bump into something, and you can hear the water when you zip through a pond. The sound and music is both excellent.

Replayability: 10/10 This game is completely replayable. If you actually beat the game once which will take a while, you can start a new game on a different file. You will have to re-collect Profile Points and Trophies from championships, and you will have to unlock everything again. The only thing you will know is how the courses go. That's about it. You can replay this game a million times.

Challenge: 10/10 This game is extremely challenging. Some of the levels are very hard and will take you a while to beat them. This game will last you a while.

Rent or Buy: Buy Definitely buy this game. No ifs, ands, or buts. You MUST buy this game. It is one of the best I've ever played. It's in my top 10 along with Grand Theft Auto Vice City. This game is almost as good as GTA! This game is worth your 40 dollars. Buy it now!
