Warriors of Might and Magic
Review by blinkyboi182
"Overall, this game had a really great storyline but was slightly flawed by below average sound."
Story-I gave this game a 9/10 because I thought this game had an excellent storyline. Throughout the game there are various Full Motion Videos. These greatly contributed to the story. Also, there are various books and letters throughout the game that really provide a lot of insight to the story. Also, there a quite a few different characters in the game-both good and bad. The amount of characters provides a nice change between each level.
Sound-I gave this game a 2/10 because the sound on this game was absolutely atrocious. First off, the audible footsteps are annoying like you would not believe. Fortunately, you can turn them off at the menu screen. But also, no matter what enemy you are facing, when you stab or slice them, it sounds exactly the same for every enemy. Also, the producers could have added music to this game to make it much more acceptable
Graphics-I gave this game a 7/10. Contrary to most peoples opinions; I thoroughly enjoyed the graphics of this game. The characters of the game had excellent graphics to them. Also, the Full Motion Videos looked just like a movie. I mean they were simply spectacular. However, some of the scenery was a little bland.
Controls-I gave this game a 10/10 on controls. While you can not set up the controls to your own liking, there are two setting. Both settings use every button on the controller which is very nice and each button has a practical purpose. The controls for this game were very good.
Overall I gave this game a 7/10. I gave the game such a high rating because of the spectacular story, good graphics, and simple controls which I thought were all spectacular. However, the overall rating was decreased by the horrific sound. Over all though, a very good game.
Rent or Buy? That all depends where you can find it and for what price. For example, I found this game used at the mall in a PS2 clearance bin for eight dollars. Since I had previously played and enjoyed the computer game Heroes of Might and Magic, I figured why not and bought it. If you can find it for under ten bucks (which you probably can pretty much at any store nowadays), I say buy it. If you can not however, I would rent it-although I seriously doubt any Blockbuster or other store still have this game for rent anymore.
