NBA 2K3

"Yep. Another great 2k Basketball game..."

Damn. Another great game by Sega for the stores! One of the best... if the best out now. This game is pretty great! I love the really in-depth thing's that have in it. Very respectable. I love the way they do the player of the game at the end, and the commentary isn't that bad this go round even though it is kinda the same exact thing from 2k2's commentary besides some little quotes and sayings they say. Now for the review.

Gameplay- 6/10
Great smooth gameplay. it doesn't get to fast as in Nba Live 2003 and it doesn't get to slow. It is just right. I like the little cross over people have but hopefully NBA 2k4 will bring some new features and cross overs to the table for us fans to do. The dunking is still not better then NBA Live 2003 but then again very realistic. You want see McGrady jump from the free throw line to hit a dink. Or have Fisher throw a alley to Kobe and instead of a plain alley he does a 360 dunk. On the other hand the steals are IMO...horrible. I mean don't get me wrong the game good but I hate the fact your long passes can easily be steals for the opponents. Hell, I averaged 8.5 steals a game with Mike Bibby! So yes the steals can get annoying. Also what about the Defensive! Lets say I have My PG as Steve Nash going against lets say Jason Kidd(Jason with the ball). If my guy Steve Nash goes for a steal and fails to get while diving like I guarantee that it is a easy two. Or if Steve Nash gets smoked in the dust by kidd easy lay-up no help what so ever, also the three are hard as hell to hit. You really have to be wide open for them to really go in but then again it is better then hitting 7 threes in a row. *coughNbaLive2003cough*

Sound- 7/10
Can you say annoying? Don't get me wrong but it is just annoying to me the way the same ESPN song plays over and over again. By far Nba Live 2003 has this match up. And the commentators get annoying with the same old saying's, and the crowd really kinda stays the same paste inless it is a close game, I hope next game they do something no other has done and have chants in it.

Graphics- 8/10
Nothing big here same as last years with slight player changes and etc. I still think it could be better then what I have seen Much better.

Replay- 7/10
Nothing big but Franchise mode. Street Ball seems fun every year even though it is easy inless you playing someone else one-on-one.

Buy Or Rent? i say rent first. If this is your first NBA 2k3 I do if not I still say rent just to test it out and make sure before spending your money on it.

This is a pretty good game. I suggest you buy it, rent it, or play it anywehere! You wont regret the fun in it you won't be able to keep your hands off of it!
