ATV Offroad Fury
Review by Jobu Dudley
"*Ges up Mountain* *Jumps off Mountain* *Lands it*"
Soundtrack-
With old school grunge bands like Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden, it has an excellent soundtrack. It's all rock, besides one rap song. That's not a good thing. It should have a variety of music, fitting each kind of level. For huge jump levels, there should be heavy metal songs. etc.
Sound-
The quads sound perfect. That's probably the neatest thing about this game. When you break, you can hear the rocks sliding with your tires. That's how good this game is. Rainbow Studios did a dang good job doing this game.
Gameplay-
The Gameplay is near perfect. The A.I. isn't challenging though. I think they could have done a better job on that. The levels never get boring since Rainbow Studios made it. Of course, they have the signature cannon, but the levels are absolutely huge. The other day I was playing and I realized that I found a spot that was so big I couldn't even believe it. It was brand spanking new to me. it was my favorite level also, which means that I played it a lot. It blew my mind into another galaxy.
Graphics-
The graphics are great. The women look like women. The men look like men. Other games have men and women both having hips etc. The quads are excellent, from brake to thumb throttle. The level graphics are the coolest though. The houses and ghost towns look like houses and ghost towns, instead of 2D items.
Realism-
of course the realism isn't perfect. It's a video game. but they have good quads. They don't have Team Rainbow Studios ATVs. It's a really good game. The quads spit up dirt on both sides, and smoke comes out of the exhaust. Of course being able to jump off a mountain and land it is impossible, but that's why there is video games.
Multiplayer-
Rainbow Studios did a good job in the Multiplayer for this game. it's not over the 'Net, but it's good enough. You could race your friend again, and again, and again. The tracks don't get stale, they get more challenging as you master each of them. It get's so exciting, that you might wanna just stop and watch T.V., but you don't. You thrive for winning. You thrive for bragging rights. It's an excellent concept.
OVERALL one kick buttocks game. Has pretty good soundtrack, has real ATVs, looks and sounds good, and has awesome multiplayer. The only thing bad is the A.I. I raced them on Hard, and had absolutely NO trouble. It kinda get's stale there. But mostly, it's a great game, and I suggest it to any motorist, or any avid racing genre fan.
