Review by Lil Lovely Lady

"What more can I say about The Sims....."

... But beautiful!!!! This game is everything that the PC version is and then some. It's just as good and just as addictive, those Sims help sites should help me out soon from the hours I’ve logged already >_<

Any who what can I say about this game that can get you to buy it, hmmm. It’s a great game to pass up the time or to forget about the game your stuck on *Shakes fist at RPGs* The Sims is very straight forward create a family move into a house and start up a life. You can be the available bachelor or
bachelorette and swoon the people in the neighbor hood or simply play the local prankster. All the functions basic of chatting, dating and roomie life from the PC version is all in it, even some new features.

Be for warned, your family will hate you after the hours you spend on it.... sorry to Jeff and my Kids ^_^;;;

Graphics - 9/10

The graphics are basically the same as the PC version, 3d CG rendered characters. The detail on the house hold items are not bad, yet there are times it seems that the items can be done more better. Character detail is done well, and is almost flawless, with a few character motions and actions that seem to go rather strange and look down right undoable. But nonetheless it’s graphics are great enough to please the senses.

Characters - 10/10

The characters of this game are pretty much the ones you create and choose to play. You get to select from a set of pre made families, or you can choose to create your own using a number of skins and faces. During the game you are able to change their wardrobes, for work, leisure, or partying. There are a number of cool actions and commands you can order them to do, from talking, dancing, much more, but the all important two..... fighting and romancing, lol what fun.

The many actions that are great of course is the ones that can get the stats of your Sims higher, in order to move ahead in a job (which you can get for your Sims) or courting that special someone next door. And if those romances go well the option to get married and start a family is opened

Oh and last on the characters, your Sims, just like in really life can die of neglect, hunger, or the occasional death (sometimes forcing them to die by Fire or Drowning, hehehe.)

Have fun either way you choose to treat your Sims.

Game play - 9.5/10

Game play is quite easy, commands are easy to access with the controller and are also easy to understand. The problem that can be found in terms of Game play is keeping track of your Sims as you lead them through daily life.

A little note, the moment you begin to get a good feel for the game play you’ll get so immersed with in no time. So get ready for a few frustrating moments, trying to command your Sims, and moments when you forget to go to sleep.

Overall - 9/10

A very solid game, that is as fun as it is addictive. Unlike the PC version you are unable to download certain items and clothes that you can’t do on the PS2 version. That saying, Sims is a game that can place an importance of family, friend and foe.... God save my children from my weariness and days of non stop playing, lol

Enjoy and remember that your family is caring enough to get you help if you go overboard ^_^
