"A Game That I Still Don't Get Tired Of"

This is by far the best racing game I've ever played! The graphics are good, the sound is good, the soundtrack rocks, and the gameplay and levels just rules! It’s just unbelievably fun, and you’re probably saying, “Hold it! Why buy this game, it never became popular!” Well surprisingly that is very true. I never purchased this game, actually it came with my PS2. I was surprised how much fun a game like this could be. Even though this game never really did become popular, it did turn out to become a Playstaion Greatest Hit.

There are eleven ATV’s to choose from, and over 20 courses to race. Actually if you think about it, it is a small game. Only 20 levels? That is actually pretty short for a racing game. The challenge in this game is how the levels are set up. The jumps are split apart and you have to make sure your going at the right speed and time yourself so that you land properly, it’s easier then it sounds. Because this game doesn’t have a lot of combos, or isn’t that frustrating, I recommend it for beginner gamers.

There are different types of racing modes such as Cross Country, Enduro, Maxxis Grand Nationals, Freestyle Stunt and Stadium Supercross. This game is full of endless challenges such as trying to beat a pervious to score in Freestyle, or just beat a combo record. It’s always fun in this game to try and beat your previous score, it actually isn’t boring at all. Also you can create your own courses making the fun endless, I love making courses and challenging my friends to a race at your own course. Oh, did I mention that this is a 4 player game? Just to add to the excitement of playing.

What about the sound? Not much to say about it except that isn’t alright. Like the engine sounds are real, and the pitch of it changes with your speed and everything, and if you fall off your ATV the guy “moans”. The one reason why I’m in love with this game is the soundtrack! The soundtrack is awesome, I don’t think I’m allowed to post the song titles, so I won’t even try, if you’re interested in the songs, just post a topic on GameFAQs.

Overall, I give it a 9/10 it is defiantly worth it to buy, but I would buy it used, not brand-new.
