Star Wars Bounty Hunter
Review by exodius 1987
"Your basic Third Person Shooter with a twist of Star Wars"
Story- Yep it has a story. It basically explains how Jango was chosen to be cloned and I think it will also explain his life after the war and some other things. There are also some really cool cut scenes and some outtakes of the cut scenes which are quite funny. I’m afraid there’s not much more to the story (I think, again I haven’t got that far.
Overall the story gets a 8
Graphics/Sounds- Yes it has those too. The graphics are quite good and the FMVs are pretty good too (MGS2 eat your heart out). The characters actually look like they are supposed to and the different races also look like they should do, and there is quite a big variety. Best of all its not blocky/chunky its nice and smooth. The sounds quite impressive too, there’s nothing like blasting at some alien with your beam pistol things and then hear him scream as he falls to his death and hear his body bounce of the floor.
Overall I’d give the graphics a 10 and the sound a 9
Gameplay- This is where it gets really interesting. I found it quite easy to get into, it took me less than 5 minutes to adjust to the controls. I find this a simple pick-up-and-play game. There’s nothing difficult about it except for when there are thousands of aliens surrounding you blasting you to hell, but as soon as you blast off with your jet pack flying backwards and blowing away all the alien scum and laughing in there faces it looks extremely cool. You might read other reviews and they complain about the camera angles but I find them incredibly easy to deal with being as you can move it with R3 or set it right behind you with R1 or even look freely with the R2 button. The only problem I ever had was when you have to jump onto this moving platforms and if you miss them you die. The games and fighting runs as smooth as you could ever want it to no complaints what-so-ever here.
I’d give this a 10
Playability/Re-playability- Well I’m not 100% sure how long this would take to complete, but there are only 18 missions but some of them can be a pain and will take multiple attempts to complete so it will at least last a few good hours. And once you have beat the game you can go back and get all of the secondary bounties which is as hard as hell to get them all.
So here I would give it a 9
Final Words- If this is your genre go buy this now! If not at least give it a rent I promise you, you will not regret it. Overall this games Is a 10 no contest!
