"An excellent start for console MMORPGs"

When I heard of Everquest Online Adventures coming out for the PS2 I was quite excited. I signed up to be a beta tester, but I never got an email, which meant I wasn't accepted. Two months later a letter from Sony Online Entertainment came with a letter and a disc. That disc was the Everquest Online Adventures disc. I quivered as I put the game into the disc tray. I was very excited after I was done creating my character and when I actually got into the game I was like....huh...?

When you first start Everquest you must create a Station account or just use your account from PC. After that you make your character. You can chose from 9 races which include human, dark elf, elf, erudite, gnome, halfling, troll, dwarf, and barbarian. When you pick your race your given a list of classes you can chose from, they differ from race to race, they are warrior, cleric, bard, rogue, enchanter, wizard, magician, shadowknight, necromancer, paladin, monk, ranger, druid, and shaman. When you pick your class you add stat points to your stats. After that you pick your name and your off! When you first start out your headmaster (the guy that gives you the quests) should be right in front of you or in the same room as you. Talk to him and he will ask if you would like to join the _______(differs from race/class selection) Your first quest is usually to buy a piece of armor and equip it, easy right? Well there is a LOT of harder quests ahead, unless you level up to level 50 before completing your second quest, which would take about 300-400 hours.

This game takes a little to really get into it but when you do, its REALLY fun and addicting.

Gameplay: 9/10
Its mostly just a hack and slash and go around and fight monsters, go here and get that while killing that monster, kind of game which I think they made it really fun.

Graphics: 7/10
Not the best graphics, but when your playing something really fun and addicting, WHO CARES! The textures aren't too bad, but the pixels are edgy at some spots.

Sound/Music: 5/10
There is usually NO music in this game, so I recommend listening to music like the one guy is on the commercial. The sounds are very nice though, they have great detail.

Fun Factor: 100/10
This game is VERY addicting(addicting as crack) and very FUN! If you get bored of just going by yourself, you can make new friends, group up with friends or strangers and make them your friends, join or start a guild, and many other things.

Replay: 100/10
Well, its Everquest, you can keep playing almost forever, or start a new character with a different class/race. Plus there will possibly be expansion packs to up the EQOA experience.

Overall: 10/10
This game is great to play and is very fun to play with your friends and make new friends to play with. I'd recommend buying this game after you read this review. I gotta go play Everquest Online Adventures, cya!
