James Bond 007: NightFire

"The name's Bond, James Bond"

Hello Mr. Bond. Well this is my first review and Bond game. This is an average FPS with a couple good but also bad characteristics.

So shall we?

Story 7/10- This game has a decent plot. You are James Bond MI6 British Secret Agent. A industry called Phiniex International is supposed to be tearing down missiles and cleaning up the environment. But guess what? Instead of tearing down the missiles he is building them up! Your mission:stop him.

Game play 8/10- This is probably the best aspect of the game. Although there are only about 12 levels they are a mixture of driving and shooting and are very fun. To make more of a challenge you can choose from easy medium and hard diffuculty. The enemy AI i good and sometimes difficult to overcome. There are plenty of weapons and gadgets that will keep you blasting away.Now for multiplayer. This game has an awesome multiplayer mode. There are a bunch of different types of mini games and levels ranging from get the most kills to stay in a certain area to bring back the enemy's flag, and if you have a friend or two it will be twice as much multiplayer mayhaem!

Controls 6/10- Unfourtunatly there is no way to customize your controls completely. However, there are about 10 different configurations all with a name from the old Bond movies.

Graphics/Sound 7/10- The cut scenes are amazing in this game and so are a few levels. Sadly not all the levels in the game are up tp date is the others. Some of the levels shine brightly and have a nice amount of detail while others the buildings are rather bare and bland. The explosions however create a nice big boom. The music is nice in this game. You have the classic 007 theme playing now and then with other great sound effects. You have your shots and explosions when in combat making it fell as if you are James Bond. The voices however don't quite fit perfectly however with their characters.

Replay Value 9/10- There is so much to unlock in this game. You will be playing missions over and over to get the best medals. These medals give you upgrades along with multiplayer skins and modes.

Rent or buy?- This is a good FPS and is a buy for Bond Fans and the average gamer. However i believe that more of the hardcore gamers out there should first rent it.
