"Awesome and breathtaking!"

Well, I have been waiting for this game for a while ever since i saw Ash ( voiced by Bruce Cambell) in front of a place called the Kitty club. I was SO HAPPY! After playing the first Evil Dead PS1 game ( which i thought was very fun) I was waiting for Ash's next hurdle onto the next gen system's. I had my eye on this game since they anounced it. This wensday, the game was released and I was unlucky that day and the FedEx jerks didnt deleiver it to me. Now, Yesterday (May 22 2003) I finally got my copy. I sprinted up stairs and popped this game into my PS2 and played the day away. Now, after about 8 hours of gameplay, I am prud and honored ( yes, honored) to give you my review on Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick. The newest pluge into the world of Ashley J. Williams (a.k.a Ash) voiced by the collest actor around, Bruce Cambell.

Graphics:
Evil Dead has some of the nicest graphics around in my opion. The reflections are nice. Go to the church and walk up abnd down the isles while looking at Ashes pants. Some of the collest reflections around. The only time you experince slow-down is when there are more then 50 deadites ( possed people or corpses) Which is hardly a problem. Ashes face is in full 3-D. FMVs are great looking but Ash seems sorta ugly! Anywho, this game has a whole truckload of cool effects.

10/10

Sound: Voice acting is poor besides Bruce Cambells voice. Deadites are ok but when i say poor it focuses around Trisha, the ugliest babe that Ash takes interest in (besides Army of Darkness's babe). I mean, ugh! She wrecks it all, but Bruce Cambell (Ash) brings up the score a heck of alot. I just love how Bruce sounds. Elridge is great, and pedistrians have a nice scare to it. A bug 10 because of Bruce!

11/10

Control: Lets make this one short. They are responsive and good. They make alot of since because of their positions. pulling off combos is easy. You use the joystick (of course) and control the camera with the other. Controls are some of the best ever in this game. Same with the camera.

10/10

Story: Will, lets make this one short too! Ash, returning from the cabin, is at his favorite bar with his favorite bar tender when he whatches some dumass girl play knowbies tape player (again) releasing a evil so hideious, its,uh, hideous;) The evil gets his main bar tender, forcing Ash to kill him ( Make mine a double!). Ash, pretty pissed off, journies into the night looking for a way to stop this Evil. You are spun thourgh 3 different eras of time as you go around and kill Deadites. pretty short for a story review. Charminf, like all of the other Evil Dead movies

10/10

Buy or Rent?: Buy! According to my research, Nearly everyone on the Evil Dead board (PS2) have already gotten to the final area in 2 days. So i guess the game is not that long, but you might play it over and over plus there is a arcade option with 5 lvls for every area in the game. You will have a lot to hold you.

Overall: 10/10
This game is one of my faves! You will love it, trust me! Period. End of Story. nuff said. Buy it now! only 19.99! honest!
