Warriors of Might and Magic

"3DO. . .what happened?"
INTRODUCTION
Well, I was looking around at some games to rent at my local video store. About every game was rented at the time, and the money in my pocket. . .well, it needed to be spent. Because it was burning a hole in my pocket. So, I decided to rent this game. Took it home, and listened to my PS2 rumble because of the blue disc. Well, it didn't take long for me to realize that this game was bad.
SOUND (0/10)
Well, the sound is really bad. When you attack an enemy, it sounds the same no matter what. Which I found stupid, I mean, if you attack a bug, it wouldn't make a loud noise. Unless if it was like a giant worm or something, that could eat you. But at least have some variety in the way the attacking sounds is! I'm going to give the sound a 0 out of 10.
GRAPHICS (5/10)
The graphics are okay at best. Due to the land being repetitive, it hurts the score. The land got really bad after a while, because it just got so repetitive. I liked how the layout of the land was. It looked pretty good. The enemies had variety in how they looked. And the characters of the game looked pretty good. So I'm going to give the graphics a 5 out of 10.
CONTROLS (3/10)
The controls are all right. You use every button on the controller, and you have two layouts with it. I hate it how these companies think you have to use every single button on the controller. I mean sure, sometimes you have to do that. But whatever happened to the good ol days when you just used two buttons? Where have the good times gone? Anyway, I'm going to give the controls a 3 out of 10.
GAMEPLAY (0/10)
Blah. The gameplay in this game is very weak. It seems that you have a lot to do, but you really don't. For one thing, you're not going to make it all that far into this game for one simple reason, that is because the game is really a mess. You're going to get lost many, many times. And some of these battles are really tough. Especially in the beginning. I mean come on, how are you supposed to make it through this game when every time you get into a battle, the enemies kill you? I probably died about five times within thirty minutes of the game. Five of those minutes was reading what the game offered on the screen. It's really sad if you ask me. You level up, but every time you try to kill an enemy, they just hack and slash you and you're gone! The replay value. . .ha ha ha ha. Like I said, you won't make it far into this game because you'll either throw it out the window, or just give it to the dog to chew on. See, I picked this princess because she seemed to be good at healing and such. So I rode around on the overhead view of the map, not directly overhead, but like from a side overhead view (if that makes sense). . .and my first impression of this game was, ''Ah, this seems cool.'' But don't let the first impression get to you. Because it gets extremely repetitive. You'll get into these random battles (like Final Fantasy), and the enemies will kill you. Then you'll have to start all over and be killed again. The map will not help much. I was playing the game and I was thinking, ''What in the heck am I supposed to do?'' ''Where am I supposed to go?'' You'll find yourself in this heap of a mess, trust me. The game is really hard. And that's all I can say on this matter. The gameplay picks up a well deserved. . .0 out of 10.
CONCLUSION on SCORES
Sound - 0/10
Graphics - 5/10
Controls - 3/10
Gameplay - 0/10
FINAL AVERAGE: 2
FINAL SCORE: 2/10
FINAL THOUGHTS
Blah, I wasn't expecting much out of this game when I saw it. The boxart looks cool, has a warrior's face and magic being shown around his head. You're like, cool. But don't let it deceive you. The game is extremely tough and repetitive. It's not fun, you'll find yourself cursing your TV and buying new controllers because you'll be flinging your controller at the TV. Unless if you find that fun. Well, I doubt you could find it to buy. I doubt you could find it to rent. You're taking care of, my friend. 3D0 has some better work. I for one liked some of the Army Men games. So if you're in a 3D0 mood, I recommend any Army Men game. That's my review and I'm sticking to it!
