"A Combination of many things."

Well to start off I will say this, if you likes Hyperspace from SNES, R-Type, Super R-Type, F-Zero, and many other of those kinds of games you will get a blast out of this. This game basically combines all of those race track features into one game.

Graphics: 7
Graphics are nothing to wet your pants about but are what I would expect at a average. I especially like the Burners in the back of the vehicles and the shield graphics as it seems that is where Majesco put most of their time. The Buildings in the game are quite rather...well...N64ish. Lets just say I have seen better. Overall graphics are not bad.

Sound: 9
Sound in this game owns. The vehicles sound great for a futuristic game and the music is off the wall for a budget game like this. If you played the Need For Speed series on the PC and loved the music then there is nothing short here than your own mind if you do not like it.

Controls: 8
Controls are way easy in this game, my main gripe is the fact that I rarely use the side thrusters if ever and like in all racing games, the brake is almost never applied unless in an extreme spin-out. Most racing games let you get away with letting off the gas and this game lets you do the same. As for the Accelerator is ''X'', very good place for it instead of being R1 or something like some games I have played previously.

Gameplay: 8
Well if you love unlocking many different things from vehicles to tracks then this is the game. It not only takes time but great skill as you need at least a 3rd OVERALL for the first few series. I know one series I beat in 3rd but required a 2nd overall to actually unlock the next series, so while beating the current series it was back to square 1 for the unlocking area. If you like messing around with making your own tracks, levels, and other things in many games then this is also a good game to get. It has a full blown map editor letting you literally make anything you want in your track minus the trees, those are things you put down that are pre made and stuff. While most of the options you use for your track are awesome most need to be unlocked by playing through the game, that is if you want a good track beat some of the series to unlock some kick ass features. Load time is no problem at all in this game it only takes maybe 15 seconds at most for a level.

Overall
Well overall I would say this game is extremely pleasing for the price I paid for it.($9.94) For a beginning company or just a budget company these guys sure know what they are doing. Once again, I would strongly recommend this game if you were into the F-Zero, HyperSpace, R-Type and other racing games. It's just Fandamntastic. I would recommend buying this instead of renting as you will never beat it in one sitting or week.
