Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis

"One of the most addictive sims EVER!!!!"

I'll get started on the review then??!?I can tell you now though...this is one GREAT game......

Music 9/10
The game has the original soundtrack from the film,written by John Williams so obviously the music is expected to be good!Music completely changes, for instance when you get inside your ranger helicopter, the music will change to a more dramatic piece. Excellent, although you may want to switch it off as sometimes it can be annoying, when you've heard it over and over again!!

Graphics 8/10
This game has exceptional graphics, especially the dinosaurs.Take the Brachiosaurus...you can see that a lot of animation has gone into it. Even the eyes of dinosaurs are perfect. Trees branch out in colorful animation etc. One thing most people aren't satisfied about is the animation of the people!(cleaners,guests etc.)They look like their from the early days of the N64 and PSOne.

Gameplay 10/10
This game really has you coming back for more!There's tons and TONS of things for you to do!These include flying in choppers to eliminate Velociraptors and other dangerous carnivores to going on a peaceful safari ride and taking pictures of dinosaurs.You can also use the Exercise mode,the real park building simulation.That ranges from building the real Jurassic Park or the Lost World!I think also there could have been more missions and exercises though. Players may find the controls a bit difficult at first.

Longetivity 10/10
As mentioned above you will always be back to play this game, whether you replay your missions and exercises,build the ultimate park with frolicking herbivores or wreck it and watch your crazy carnivores eat the guests!!!Now that's fun!It will never tire you out, and you will be playing this game for HOURS on end, just watching the dinos in their habitat eating,playing,hunting,drinking and more.It is like the dinosaurs in the game have a real brain! They will talk to each other and choose who will become the pack leader. If a T-Rex decides it wants to feast on a herd of dinosaurs, the smaller herbivores will hide behind the bigger while a larger one such as the Triceratops, will try and kill the offending predator!It really is incredible.

Overall 9/10
This game is generally excellent with only a few minor faults such as the blocky looking guests. I really suggest you take a look at this game!

Rent or Buy?
Well if you love dinosaurs and sim/management games then this is DEFINITELY the game for you!!BUY IT NOW!However if you just want to check it out then obviously rent it out and see what you think!
