Headhunter
Review by DreamcastForever9999
"Awsome game that was just overlooked"
Headhunter was a action/adventure game that was in development for the Dreamcast for over 2 years, people like me waited and anticipated this game only to be dissapointed. The dreamcast was dying quickly and sega decided to pull the plug on the dreamcast version. The sky fell and there were dark and desperate days. Then shenmue 2 got the axe. I thought I was gonna cry. After I got over my self pity, I picked up an issue of PSM. Low and behold, the realease chart said Headhunter. I almost screamed. I decided God wouldn't hate me or throw me in hell for betraying him and buying a non sega console, after all, times were changing and sega went 3rd party. so I was actually helping sega. Thats when I joined the millions in buying sony's black box. It was all worth it when I turned on the game.
*Gameplay - Headhunter controls a lot like the resident evil games on the playstaion and is relatively easy to get the hang of. It is fun sneaking and shooting, but it can become repetitive after a while. Another big part of the game is the motorbike segments which I found to be a blast. The only major gripe I have is the camera which wiggs out at the worst times, like right in the middle of a gun fight, but overall, its great.
*Graphics/Music - The visuals in this game are really good. I thought the overall look of the environments and characters were excellent. Not to mention this is a strait port from Dreamcast, so that makes it all the more impressive. The music is top notch. Ive never heard game music this good. It's metal gear solid grade in a game that got absolutely no publicity or support. Again, overall, its great.
*Replayability - This is where you loose out. Once is enough, and after that it gets boring and you loose interest. The isnt much worthwhile to unlock, so unless you find Jack extremely sexy or somthing insne like that, once is all you'll want to play it through.
Overall, this game is an excellent buy at a retail now of only $19.99 new, you can't go wrong. It is entertaining and pulls you in really quick. The only reason I gave it an 8 instead of a 10 is because of the absolutely frustrating camera and the fact that it is way to short. Now go out and buy this game now. Support the best game maker in the world, long live Sega!!!
