"Zombies+Guns+Good Controls(finally)=Fun Times had by all"

All right, Resident Evil: Dead Aim. You have read many things about the game and were excited for it. Now it's out, it's time for it to try to shine.

Graphics- 6/10
Well the graphics are not bad but they are not good either. The character models for the zombies are well made but they use the same ones over and over again, occasionally adding one to ''spice up'' the variety that is about 5-7 skins. The animators tried very hard to make it feel like a zombie was stumbling after you but all it looks like is that its dancing at a rave. The main characters (Bruce Mcgivern and Ling Fong) have very nice animations and look very good. The actual area you are on looks like how it is suppose to look, like a boat, but some of the rooms look identical I do not know if this was done on purpose to look like the same rooms but it does not hurt the game that much. The Cinemas in the game are well rendered like all the Resident Evil games.

Story- 6/10
Anyone that has played a Resident Evil game in the past has to remember some of the story and just like the ones form long ago it also has one. It is not that deep just enough for you to know there are zombies and you have to kill them. You do learn some valuable information that adds to the story but if you did not know it wouldn't hurt you.

Game play- 8/10
This is where the game improves. Due to changing the controls (having it be 3rd person when you are not shooting and a button to change into 1st when needed) the game flows much better. The game play mainly consists of you shooting zombies and exploration puzzles (find key to door, put in door, and repeat)

Controls- 9/10
Great like I said it makes the game feel better. Moving your character is kind of annoying but it works well enough.

Overall- 7/10
It is a good game but I would suggest just renting it. I beat the game the first time through in about 3 and half-hours. If you are a light gun gamer or do not care about length then it might be for you. It has pretty good graphics, controls and game play but it is short. But you do get to kill zombies and explore on your Playstation 2 instead of the Game Cube for a change.
