"I learned the true meaning of the term "Evercrack""

Ok you'll pick up this game and plug in all the stuff you have to pay for if you don't already have it. You'll pick the coolest looking character you can think of and then you'll get into the world. You'll run around for about a half an hour and realize you screwed up and you'll start a second character, which will then become your mainly used character. This is the part where you get addicted.

Gameplay-I figured I'd start here, because this is a MMORPG and well face it, if the gameplay is bad...then this whole game is pointless. The gameplay is the pretty basic
see and slash as used in many games, but there is some depth to everything. Your armor and weapons must be usable by your class and everything must coincide with each other,
or you'll have a very unbalanced character. If you enjoy leveling you characters in normal RPG's and getting all the best equipment combinations then you'll love this game. The
quests are also another amazing feature in this game. You can take your character on adventures to save the people of your home tribe, or if you want to, you can turn your back on them and slay your own people. Whatever you do is your choice. So gameplay...you get a 9.

Story-Well, there's not usually a story in Online RPG's, but in this case there is a small story. You can follow the story of your hometown and become the hometown hero, or do whatever it is you desire in the giant world of Norrath. Other than that, this game is like an open book to you and you can feel free to write whatever you wish on the blank pages. Story you shall receive an 8.

Graphics-If you've looked at screenshots of EverQuest Online Adventures, you'll see it's not a very pretty game. You'll often find yourself walking in areas of long, boring, hilly areas. In fact...I don't think I've ever found a flat piece of land in this game. And if
you're expecting something good looking in the forest details, you're not in for a treat. The trees look like a giant spike with three umbrellas sticking out of them for leaves. Some of the enemies you will find in your adventures will please your eyes, but not very
many will. The characters are also very plain, and most of the armors you will find are identical except for a change in color. Originality in your character will be hard to find, due to the choice of about five different faces, and the choice to change your hair, giving you another five choices, and three or four choices for your hairs length. Graphics shall be deemed a 6.

Sound-Um yeah...sound. Well, there's not much sound in Everquest. Unless you have surround sound, you'll probably have the volume turned all the way down, and some
of your own music playing. The only sound there is, is the sound of your sword slicing, or your feet crunching, and the occasional ting of something being collected. You can have the choice to turn on one of two battle musics, but once you'll hear them you'll be glad that you don't have to have them turned on. Sound shall hear a 3.

Community-I always find it fitting to have a community section for Online Video Games. Well the community in this game is mostly older people around 14+ or more. I've never met anyone under the age of 18, but I'm told there are younger players out there. Along your journeys you will group up with hundreds of people and maybe keep in touch with about ten of them. You will most likely find a bunch of jerks, but on the other side, you will find a bunch of fun people that are looking for some good people to have fun adventuring with. So to find the right people you will just need to keep looking, and this will make the game about ten times more enjoyable. I shall group the Community with an 8.

Connection-Everquest has pretty much a perfect connection. I have never been kicked off due to game errors, or malfunctions. I have never experienced lag from other players or seen other players lag. You can use Everquest if you have any internet connection, and it will work just fine. Connection will connect with a 10 for perfect.
Connection 10

Technical-The connection for Everquest is pretty simple. The things you'll need are a Playstation 2, Internet Adapter for your Playstation 2, 3MB of a Playstation 2 memory Card, and an internet connection. From there, it's pretty much plug everything in, pick a few options (very simple questions), and you're good to go. I have seen one person experience difficulties with this process, because they got a new modem, but Everquest Online Adventures site helped greatly, and answered all of his questions, and he was able to get everything running in no time. Technical shall hook up to an 8.

Price-I'm not gonna put a rating score for this section, but I figured it should be added. Note:These are the prices I paid for these items, and they may have changed by the time you go out to buy the game. I'm going to assume you already have a Playstation 2, and an internet connection when giving prices. First you will spend $20 to buy the game (Hey you're thinking a good deal...it's only $20), next you will spend $40 for the online adapter for your connection, now you drop another $10 for a gamecard (or if you use a credit card you get the first 30 days free, and $10 a month after that), and if you're lazy like me then you'll binge and spend an extra $25 for the keyboard so you can actually communicate with other people. After spending all this you'll be $85 in the hole with a $10 bill monthly...yes it's worth it. So if you can afford all that then go for it.

Well I've covered everything here. Note to everyone. Everquest Online Adventures WILL take a large portion of your life if you like it as much as everyone else. You will
spend long lonely nights playing this game and will find yourself to be going to sleep to the birds chirping at sunrise, if you even sleep at all. But hey...that's what all the cool gamers
do...isn't it?
