Burnout 2: Point of Impact
Review by banjoman006
"Burn rubber and crash to your fullest"
If you are looking for a exciting racing game, this is your choice. It has good tracks and cars, with many new cars to unlock. Crash mode, where you attempt to cause the most damage possible, is one of very fun and different. You will have a blast.
GAMEPLAY - 10/10
This game is extremely fun. You race around on a variety of different tracks and try to win. There is also a crash mode, which I will discuss later. The crashes in the game are simply amazing and add to the fun of the game. The more dangerous you drive, the more points you get to fill your turbo bar. This means be daring and go faster.
GRAPHICS - 10/10
The graphics are simply amazing. Everything looks spectacular, especially the crashes. If you crash, you will cause all sorts of mayhem and maybe even mess up the other cars. The cars look very cool, and its fun seeing them get torn apart.
AUDIO - 9/10
This is the only part where the game slightly lacks. The music is pretty bad, but if you boost, it gets louder, which is quite cool. The sound effects easily make up for the crummy music. You hear all different sounds when you crash, and it seems to sound sorta realistic.
CONTROLS - 10/10
The controls are very easy to get the feel of. You basically only use 3 buttons, but you can use more if you want. The steering is smooth and feels ''right'' to how much you tilt the control stick. I imagine with a wheel (which i dont have) it would be even better.
MODES - 10/10
There are a variety of different modes which are very different from each other. There is Championship, where you go through a variety of races; Pursuit, where you chase and ram a car; Single Race, where you just race on a course; and Crash mode, which is the coolest part of this game. You race down a road, and crash into a busy intersection or something like that, and try to cause as much damage as humanly possible. Even if you beat it, it gets exciting trying to beat your old records.
REPLAYABILITY - 10/10
This game won't take very long to beat, but you'll be hooked trying to beat your old scores. It's a blast with a friend, and crash mode can be played with
4(not simutaneously.)
DIFFICULTY - 9/10
The beginning of the Championship mode is rather easy, but it gets harder as you go along. Some of the crash levels are intensely tough, which makes it more worth your time.
FINAL WORD
If you've got the money, definetely buy this game. You WILL be satisfied. I found it for $30, and I would have easily paid $50 for it. If you arent sure if you like big crashes and lots of fun, rent it. Then you'll know why I love this game so much.
FINAL SCORE (Not an Average) - 10/10
I haven't had this much fun in a long time
