Endgame
Review by SuperStealthDud
"No Time Crisis"
Endgame is one of the few alternatives to Time Crisis 2 that you have to choose from if you want to use that lightgun. However, it cannot compare to Time Crisis 2 or the other top selling lightgun game, Vampire Night.
You play as a red headed bombshell on a mission to rescue her lover. The fast paced action does not waste any time as you dive for cover in your own home while you are invaded by criminals. Luckily you have your handy-dandy pistol hidden behind your fridge (as you do), which leads you into the game.
The aiming on Endgame is fair but not as good as other lightgun games, but what did you expect, it's not made by the developers of the G-Con 2. This has standard typical lightgun action throughout, where you shoot bad guys, duck for cover while reloading, shoot more bad guys, rinse & repeat until you get to bosses which require more shooting than your average thug. That is basically the whole of the game. The added mini game ''Mighty Joe Jupiter'' is far more entertaining and fun to play than the main ''Endgame''. Mighty Joe Jupiter sees you thrown into a sci-fi comic book adventure where you shoot little green men. It is basically the same as the Endgame but more fun. Enough about that now back to the main game.
The graphics in Endgame are decent enough but do not compare to- you guessed it- Time Crisis 2. The movements of the enemies are all the same over dramatic roll. Other than that though the graphics are nothing much worth whining about as you tend not to notice them while popping a cap in some thug's butt.
The sound is also not too noticeable, just your average ''bang bang uurggh''. The gunshot sounds are fair enough sounding and the enemies groans are satisfactory. I didn't notice any music in the game but if there was it was too quiet to hear. Overall the sound isn't one of the strong points in Endgame.
Endgame is worth buying if you own a lightgun, because let's face it, you'll feel bad about wasting your money on the thing only to play 2 games.
If you are not a hardcore lightgun gamer though, avoid. I would have given this game a lower score if it wasn't for Mighty Joe Jupiter, but I still think it is too high. Overall a fair lightgun game, but no Time Crisis 2.
