"Great Game But Takes Time Getting Used To"

Okay before I say anything biased about this game I should tell you that I have been a major sports gamer ever since I was introduced to NBA 2k2, then NBA Live 2003 and finally this gem I must say this, ITS NOT PERFECT. Now let's leave it at that single statement and move on to this review.

Gameplay: I must say that the gameplay is almost completely different in this game. There is now a alley-oop button and a take it home button and also a slam dunk button. The freethrows are better than last year. If you remember the little basketballs last year in the free throw well you're almost going to get that here. On the backboard there is lights flashing horizontal and vertical and a box glowing right in the middle. Your job is to line the lights up to where they're hitting the box. I must say it's alot easier than last year. Also the graphics seem very cartoonish but that's my only complaint in the gameplay category. Well, except the fact that it takes time getting used to.

Graphics: Whoa! That's what I said when I first played this game. The graphics are more cartoony this time around so I hope you're not a serious gamer because this time around there will be some cartoony graphics. They're not that bad but it's noticeable which is kind of bad. But the backgrounds are superb everything in this game is great trust me on that. This game shows the power of the Playstation 2.

Replay Value: Well I haven't beat the main mode yet but what I did last year was play with my step dad for awhile and we had competitions and such which was fun. So if you have somebody to play with then you are going to get more for you're money after you beat it.

Final Verdict: This game takes some time getting used to but it is fun! This game rocks solid and anyone whose a sports gamer and owns a Playstation 2 should go out and buy this game right away! It's just that good! Take this from me when I hardly like sports games and I still like this game. It's fun and exciting and all the people look realistic but similiar still to one another. Oh well! This game still rocks! Trust me and go out and buy this game...NOW! What are you waiting for I said NOW!
