Primal
Review by Ice Maiden
"Im not to sure about this one."
Introduction
This game is an rpg. It is very hard to describe because i cannot think of any other game to compare it to. I think it was made by some people at Cambridge University or somewhere around their, but Knowing me, i'm probably wrong!
Gameplay
Ok. their are many important parts to this game. You have to listen quite carefully to the game and what they talk about, but on the setup screen, you can if you need to go back and have a look at that particular scene, and continue on from their. It is quite a fun game, even though their are only 4 levels, but it isnt very hard at all, as long as you no what your doing. Even the end fight isn't to hard. The 4 worlds do take a while to complete though if you want to do everything in them though, and collect things from the world including items or objects for Jen or Scree.
Story
Ok. So your Jen. An ordinary girl who I think is 21. Your at a club where you boyfriend Lewis is playing in his band. He gets freaked out on stages, and runs off after seeing someone in the crowd. You try to comfort him, and you decide to leave. You get outside when you are both attacked.
You are then taken to hospital, where everything starts to change Jens life forever.....
Graphics/sound
The graphics aren't the best thing that i have ever seen on any game, but they are still good. their are no really films in this game though. The sound is done by one band, but i cannot remember the name of them. It is kind of cool though. The graphics and sound do not really fill up all of the ps2's abilities, but it is still a good game.
Play time
This isn't a very long game, even if you have no experience with this kind of game. You really just go round killing things, no tactics involved.
It isn't really the best game to replay as you will really have done all you can in the first play through, but it might be fun to play again!
Final recommendation
I would say that if you play these games all the time, rent it for a week and then you really will have finished it by then. If not, it is still fun to own, but like me, you might get a bit bored of it when you have finished with maybe the tedious story line, that doesn't really pick up anywhere. But that's my opinion. I would say rent it if your good at action/rpg games and buy if not or just buy it and sell it on!
