World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 International
Review by DougieTheGreat
"Better Than All the Rest"
Pro Evolution Soccer Pro 3
This game is by far better than the previous game. There is a vast improvement in every area of the game. Added to with the fact that various teams have the licensed kits.(Feyenoord, Parma, AC Milan, Juventus, AS Roma, Japan, South Korea)
Gameplay: 9/10
Once again konami has opted for better gameplay over licenses like EA's Fifa series, and once again it has payed off. From the first moment i turned PES 3 on i was totally addicted to it. the gameplay is better than ever. When players jump for headers there arms are all over the place like in real life and not by there sides like zombies. It is harder to beat a player but with so many new tricks to master it won't be long until i am skipping through the defences again. The goalkeepers are unsure with crosses, they will start to go for them then back pedel, and will punch more often when under pressure instead of the unrealisticly plucking of the ball out the air of previous games. When players are injured you see them getting stretchered off and before penalty shoot outs the players will get their water bottles. When it is a close call for a penalty (just inside the box)you see the referee run up and point to the spot. Very realistic. The crowd is a lot more active which is a huge plus.
Sound: 6/10
The commentray leaves a bit to be desired but konami seem to have rid themselves of such stupid phrases as '' He shoots... i tell a lie, hes missed''. The poorness of the commentators is made up for in the actual gameplay it self though. The crowd is so much more animated. They will boo opposition players and if it is a tight game and is nearing the end of the match you can hear the fans whistling.
The Master League: 10/10
There is four sections in this games master league. Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western sections. You will start in the second division. Whatever section you choose to be you will have the same 8 teams in your division. The cup is now two legged (home and away). There is also a WEFA cup and WEFA championships you can enter if you finish high enough in the first division. The only down point is that you have to pay transfer points for players that are not contracted to any clubs. You can now trade you re players for a computer controlled teams player, thus saving you a barrel load of points.
With the new transfer option that can be unlocked in the PES Shop for 10,000 points this game is a must buy. The transfer option will keep the game updated for any future transfers that may take place.
