I don't like giving games 10/10, because no game is perfect. And PES3 is no differant. It has it's flaws. But those are vastly outnumbered by the pros of this game.

GRAPHICS: Not an important factor for some. The graphics in PES3 are improved vastly over PES2. Players face look more like player faces. Motion capture has been used for some players, and stadiums look fantastic. However, in comparison to FIFA the graphics are simply not as good. Don't get me wrong, i think the graphics are great, but FIFA does look sharper, and more detailed.

ANIMATIONS: I don't usually rate animations but include them under graphics. PES3 however is differant. The animations take some time to get used to, as they vary greatly to PES2, but they are nothing short of perfection. Players run like their real life counterparts, passing seems so lifelike its unbeleivable. But the icing on the cake are the shots. Theres nothing more satisfying than volleying a shot from the edge of the penalty area, n watch it blast past the keeper. Its an amazing feeling.

SOUND: Overall, pretty poor. Commentary is better than last time, but still not on par with most football games nowadays (im from England hence football). The crowd do sound very good though, and it really does feel quite atmospheric playing a final in the Stadio Delle Alpe. Overall, sounds are ok, but could be a whole lot better.

GAMEPLAY: Perfection in every sense of the word. Smooth, flowing, and amazingly satisfying. You have to work for your goals, its about spreading the ball across the pitch, about timing the killer through ball, about dummying the keeper. It really is about skill, patience, and general know-how. The strategies are in depth, the formations can totally affect the outcome of a match. This really is what football is all about. All i can say is, it's unrivalled and absoloute nigh-on genius. Oh, and multiplayer? up to 8 people, 4 vs 4, 7 vs 1, full multiplayer leagues, you name it, its in there. The best multiplayer game around and im not going over the top. Just a shame theres no online option...

LIFESPAN: Leagues, cups, exhibitions, tons of unlockables, and the genius maser league mode (the meat of the game). This game will last until PES4. Buy it, its the best investment you'll make all year.

OVERALL: I cant say much more than buy this. I thoroughly reccomend this, and its not one of those games that some won't like. Unless you hate the sport, buy this game. Don't rent it either, youll just be miserable when it has to be returned. Well thats all i can say about it. Nothing left but to slap on my 10/10
