"A Must For Any Football Fan"

Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (PES3) has had an amazing amount of hype behind for some time, now the hype has fallen I can give a good review..

Graphics (7/10)
The graphics on PES3 have improved greatly, but still don't come anywhere near as good as FIFA. The majority of the time you do get 60FPS, but in the replays, there is a little amount of slow down. The crowds on the stadiums don't look at all realistic, esspecially when playing at Old Trafford, it just looks likes lines when you see either end behind the goal.
The players look great though, all reconisable from the moment you see them. I like the graphics, well improved from the previous installments but, unless the game gets the FIFA graphics engine, I'm afraid it will always be knocked.

Sound (7/10)
Again, the commentry is REALLY poor. It makes me turn the sound down (and i NEVER do that with games now) the commentry team are always just making mistakes in their overview and are just not making sense half the time. Again, this is where FIFA soccer beats PES3. The crowd chants and the balls kicks and the whole atmosphere of the game is recorded brilliantly, so seeing as there's an option that you can turn the commentry off, I've still given this a high rating.

Gameplay (10/10)
Now, this is where FIFA needs to hang its head in shame, and just stop trying. This is the REAL football. everyone moves perfectly, the controls are spot on! If you shot one and it lands in the top corner, its your fault, not through button bashing and 'luck', same as if you hit the corner flag from a 6 yard shot! everything is perfectly controlled by you! This is what has made the whole series of PES supreame. This has just got a huge revamp with the engine making the game ever so sweet. You honestly can't knock how good this game plays.

Lastability (9/10)
The reason why this doesnt have a 10 out of 10 score is, due to the fact, that the way the series is going, PES4 will be the next big thing and this will just collect dust. Honestly, you'll play this one for so long, learning new moves all the time. it just seems you can never work out how to do everything perfect all the time. Get 2 or more players then this game just shines an unbelievable amount. You'l be playing this until GTA4 or PES4 comes out. Go buy it, its well worth the money.

Overall (9/10)
Again, as with all the other PES games, the dodgy commentry and the fact it doesn't look half way as good as FIFA denies this game of a perfect score. In terms of gameplay it deserves it, but the whole package isn't perfect. It will take some time to get to grips with, the defence is well hard on it, but thats the beauty in it, you'll want to keep trying!. I can't recommend this game enough for any football fan, its WELL better then Club football and FIFA, but if graphics are the only thing that floats your boat, then your missing out on an amazing game
