"An action packed game with all the necessary elements."

Freedom Fighters is a war game about an invading army. The Russian Soviets have killed the U.S. president and have invaded New York. You start out as a plumber. You are going for what you think is a normal job with your brother, but when you are in the apartment Soviets come and capture your brother. You are hiding and the Soviets don't see you. Now, it is your job to free New York and kill the soviet leader before he does more damage.

Gameplay in Freedom Fighters is great. The controls work brilliantly and are very easy to learn. The R1 button is to shoot and you use the analog stick to move around. This game is very action packed and you are almost always firing your weapon. There is an auto-aim which is very useful and accurate. There is also a manual aim which isn't all that useful, but still good to have. You basically are just taking back territories that the Soviets have taken from you. For instance, you have to take a police station back at one point. To take it back, you kill everyone in there and raise the American flag on the flagpole. This is a new method that has never been done before I don't think. I find this method much better than some of the methods in other games.

The graphics in this game are......not bad. They aren't that good, but they are decent. I find these graphics to be very basic and undetailed. For instance, in one part you can swim in water. The water is very fake looking and when you swim it doesn't move. It makes little waves, but the overall water doesn't move. The designers could have made all of the graphics better.

The weapons in this game are basic. They aren't called by any specific name. Just the type of weapon (sub machine gun, shotgun, assault rifle, etc.). There are some throwing weapons such as molotov cocktails and grenades. Also, there are a few melee weapons such as a wrench. You can also hit your enemy with a gun instead of shooting it at them. This is handy if you don't have time to reload or you are out of ammunition. There is also a mounted machine gun that you can get in some levels.

I'd say this is a renting game. It's very short and easy. If your a big fan of third-person shooters then you might want this game, but if you're just looking to have a good time for a little while, then you should rent this.
