"Best Tennis Game Ever Created..."

INTRODUCTION
Sega is well known in the video game industry for its sports games. They are always high quality games, the best that can be found. The one that I will talk about now is Sega Sports Tennis 2K2.

GAMEPLAY: 10/10
I will start saying that this is not a ''simulation'' game at all, it is an ''arcade'' game. This means that it will not feel too real to play it, but it's a hell lot of fun this way.
The controls are really simple: you only use three buttons. X for hitting the ball normally, square for lob shots and circle for slice shots (are they called this way? who cares...). This simple controls allow you to be good enough at this game only after a few minutes of play.
As I said before, being an arcade game is not bad. In my opinion, it's way better in this kind of games. Some matches last a lot this way, and this wouldn't be possible if it was a more ''real'' game.

STORY: 10/10
Story... What could fit this category in a sports game? Why not talk about the main mode: the World Tour. It is a really fun mode where you have to create two tennis players, a man and a woman. Then, you have to make them become the best players around the globe starting in the 300th place. Sounds easy? It's not. Sound fun? It is.
To accomplish this, you have to win tons of tournaments and competitions. You also start being a bad player, but you can build up your character by training, earning money along the way. Then, you can use this money to buy accessories, such as racquets and clothe. A really complete mode, if I may.

GRAPHICS: 7/10
The graphics are good, but could be better. They are just the same that they were in DreamCast. The faces are great, the movement is not bad either. However, the audience and everything that it's not in the court is terrible. They don't have three dimensions! They are flat. This is what brings this score down.

SOUND: 8/10
There is nothing special about the sound of this game. It has a background music, a person that calls the points, net, faults, etc., and the sound effects. Just as any other game. However, not being special doesn't mean being bad.

PLAY TIME / REPLAYABILITY: 10/10
You won't get tired of this game soon, I assure you. The World Tour mode is extremely long, and playing with your friends doesn't get boring in a looooong time. And if you have a Multitap, this game becomes never ending, trust me.

BUY OR RENT?
This game deserves to be bought, I think. If you read the ''Play Time / Replayability'' topic you will know why.
