Freedom Fighters
Review by Freedom Fighter
"A Brilliantly Designed Game."
Gameplay (9/10):
I personally have never encountered gameplay similar to this. The overall design of the game is terrific, where you play as a plumber named Christopher Stone when Russia invades New York. This 3rd person strategy game includes challenge and strategy. Fight with an array of weaponry to try to free New York of it's new Russian influence. This game wasn't what I expected, it was better.
Controls (10/10):
At first, you need to adjust, but after you play for a while, the controls become natural. Unfortunately, you cannot customize the controls, but you can decide between regular or inverted pitch, including invert left/right or invert up/down. You can also toggle the controller's vibration, either on or off.
Sound (9/10):
Nice sound. The overall sound quality is excellent and overall pretty accurate. Gunfire, explosions, etc. are pretty precise. Characters of the game speak, and sound great. Alarms and what not also have a realistic touch to them. Sound was greatly done.
Graphics (10/10):
Excellent graphics. Explosions aren't fantastic, but are still pretty good, and the camera angles of the game are also excellent. The realism of a shot soldier is pretty good, and you won't see much hands, arms, or guns sticking through walls or doors either. Graphics in the game are all I expected.
Story/Plot (10/10):
Very original. It must have taken some great minds to think up something like this. Once you begin playing, you REALLY want to fight for some freedom. When Russia beats the United States in creating the hydrogen bomb during World War II, they release hell on everyone around them. Gradually over the years, they begin to surround the United States...
Replay Value (9/10):
Ever in the mood to stop the reds again? Well you'll have fun doing it again. Especially if you haven't completed the game on all difficulties. I would begin the game on the easiest difficulty, just so you can get a feel of the game. This way, after you've accomplished the game, you can try it on a harder difficulty, which, take my word for it, is a tad bit more difficult each difficulty you go up. This will add a bit more challenge and fun to the game.
Overall (10/10):
This game was above and beyond what I expected it to be, so if you have the taste for a strategy game and you want to fight the reds in this intense game, I recommend you recruit to be a Freedom Fighter. You won't be sorry you did.
