Backyard Wrestling: Don't Try This at Home

"From the backyard to your PS2"
This is a wrestling game for the person who doesn't watch wrestling, it is wrestling minus the glam and pretty boy crap, it boils it right down to pure violence. But then again it's more funny then violent. So now to the review:
Gameplay(9/10) - Gameplay wise there really isn't much to it, just find yourself a weapon and beat the hell out of your opponent, which really isn't a bad concept, besides who wouldn't like to hit a guy from the ICP in the head with a barb wire bat?
Story (5/10) - Now this is where the game lacks. the story mode is basically a talk show where people come on and discuss how the feel about backyard wrestling. Later when you got to fight, the people who were on the talk show appear in the level.
Graphics (10/10) - BYW Has average graphics, but I can't complain, it might glitch up from time to time but it still has excellent graphics that are very detailed, so when you you whack a guy with a base ball bat, you can see the blood on his face for the rest of the match.
Sound (2/10) -Not much here, the music drowns out most of the sound effects, and when you can here them they are usually stupid.
Music (10/10) -This is where BYW really excels featuring such bands as: Sum 41, Spineshank, Bowling for Soup, American Hi-Fi, and of course Insane Clown Posse. My only real complain in this department is that there is no real way to change the music other then pressing L1 and L2 at the same time.
Play Time/Replayability (6/10) - There really isn't any reason to play this game after you've gotten all of the videos and characters. BUT this is an awesome game to play if you and your bud are just sitting around doing nothing, then you can literally play for hours just screwing around on the seven hilarious levels.
Buy/rent-Buy, unless you have no friends to play it with.
Final verdict- This is an awesome game to play if your an immature person or just love to break things that are on fire, nonetheless (I always wanted to say that!) this is a very good first attempt both from eidos, who have no experience at making a wrestling game and the Jcw for trying to tame the wild world of backyard wrestling.
That's why I give BYW a 7 out of 10.
