"A New Type of Killing Game"

Overall:9
Manhunt is a surprisingly well developed game. It will definatly satisfy anyone's need for a thriller video game. This game is set up like a snuff film so you can pretty much garentee that it will be scary or at least freak you out a little bit. even though this game has almost painfully linear gamplay, that surely shouldnt take away from the other outstanding things that this game has to offer it's players. this is surely not a game for childeren so if ytou are a parent looking to see if this is a good game for your kid....IT IS NOT! it is basically like watching a snuff film or a movie that is rated around X-17. you definatly do not want to play this game if you are under the age of at least fifteen or you will almost surely have nightmares about it even 3 years after you start playing it....yeah, it is THAT scarey.i suggest you pick this one up though if you are above the age of fifteen and are into all the killing and horror and thrilling stuff that they put into video games today.

Graphics:8
The graphics for manhunt are very...lets just say, well developed. the people and enviornments are very good looking and can surely make you feel like you are actually in the game. some of the best on the system. for an action/stealth game, it will leave you almost speachless. sometimes you are actually going up for a stealth kill on a hunter and realize the way the shadows move acording to the moonlight and the way the leaves on the trees and the trash on the ground blows in the wind. i was killed several times in this game strictly because i was basically hipmotized by the abosolute beauty of this game. if you pick up games for great graphics that pretty much put you in the game, Manhunt is the best game out there right now for you.

Playability:6
This is one of the games few faults. the concept is basically run...hide in shadows...lure hunter...stealth kill hunter. even though the playability raises a little when you get guns, it is still basically the same. even though the guns have head shots that splater brains on the wall clear down to foot shots that make a gang member fall on the ground in pain, it is just not quite enough to make manhunt have a great playability rating. and if you do not like linear gamplay, then you might not enjoy this game as much as people who dont realy care. there arent very many stealth games out there that have great playability though so i dont think you should really expect too much out of this game, even though it is developed by rockstar! (for all of you who arent nerds, rockstar is the company that created the grand theft auto series)

Sound:10
The best out there for the ps2. from the sound effects when you kill someone to the music, it all works extremely well for this game. we all know that no one can make a great horror/thriller without great sound and that is what made this game. it doesnt matter if you are brutely beating someone with a plastic bag over their head or trying to gouge their eyes out, the sound effects are truley outstanding. the people scream, you can hear your footsteps change sounds as you step onto a different surface, you can hear the wind blowing the trees around in the background as you are sneaking up to execute an unexpecting hunter, you even get to hear all the different gangs say some really screwed up, in a funny way usually, things.

Entertainment:9
If you enjoy killers and horror, you will surely enjoy this game. sometimes it makes you want to just play on to hear some of the hillarious quotes that some of the gangs in Manhunt say. it is fun from start to finish for about 25 times through. it doesnt matter how many times you play through the game, this is one of the few that are actually good enough to go back and play any time during the day...or night, if you have the guts.It will not let you put down your controller until you get so scared you go to the bathroom in your pants and have to go clean them out so i suggest rubber undies for this one!

Concept:9
Make a snuff film type movie for a freak that will only talk to you over a headset. he wants you to ''execute'' men that he has placed around different enviornments in different gruesome ways.

Replay Value:9
Many unlockables in this game. you will have to play through 3 or 4 times to unlock everything and get the full gaming experience for Manhunt. it is sort of set up like metal gear solid games so that you have to go through the game to unlock cheat codes and bonus levels which gives it a great replay value. you can also unlock awesome new weapons that do even more gruesome ''executions'' than the ones that you can use the first time through.
